OVERVIEW
This restored 1966 Ford Mustang Hardtop is powered by a 289cid V8 mated to a three-speed automatic transmission. Features include power steering, heat, and a center console. Finished in blue and equipped with a white vinyl top over a two-tone blue and white vinyl pony interior, this first-generation Mustang is now offered by the selling dealer with a clear title.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
The blue exterior was resprayed under prior ownership as part of a restoration and is accented with a white vinyl top and white pinstriping. Features include chrome brightwork, 289 badging, a driver-side mirror, and rocker moldings.
EXTERIOR – WHEELS AND TIRES
Color-matched steel 14-inch wheels with hubcaps are wrapped in whitewall tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The pony interior is furnished with two-tone blue and white vinyl low-back bucket seats up front, a bench in the rear, and matching materials for the door panels, center console, dash, and carpeting. Features include power steering, woodgrain trim, an under-dash Panasonic AM/FM/CD radio, a heater, and rubber floor mats. Although a factory air conditioning system is equipped, it is not currently hooked up. The trunk is lined with a plaid vinyl mat.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
Instrumentation includes a 140-mph speedometer flanked by gauges for the oil pressure, amps, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The five-digit mechanical odometer reads 22,824 miles, but the true mileage on the chassis is unknown.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
The non-original 289cid V8 feeds power to the rear wheels via a console-shifted three-speed automatic transmission.
UNDERCARRIAGE
Stopping is performed by manual brakes.
BID: $13,500
What do you mean by the air conditioning not hooked up? The compressor seems present but are other parts missing? Have you ever looked into getting it working and if so what were you told? Thanks, Ed
@Commodore – Can you post a cold start, run and drive video; photo's of the undercarriage? What is not working on the car other then the A/C? Not saying this car has a problem but these year cars have always had electrical problems with the lighting do all the interior and exterior lights work properly? Does it have a matching spare tire and original tools to change the tire? How much play if any does it have while steering the car and is the front and rear suspension in good order? Lastly was the engine rebuilt when the car was restored if not then per the mileage listed it would have rolled over. Appreciate your response. ...
The radio does not work. Everything else works. All lights work. Does have a spare ,no tools. The car drives fine. This car can be viewed at vl-classics, springfield Mo.
