OVERVIEW
This 1968 Ford F-100 has been updated with fresh paint, new leather bucket seats, and several other components within the past three years. It is powered by the reportedly original rebuilt 390cid V8 backed by an upgraded Ford C6 three-speed automatic transmission. Features include three fuel tanks, new power steering, an AM/FM/CD player with a remote, a recharged air conditioning system, and new power brakes. Finished in red over a red and black leather interior, this Ford half-ton truck comes from the selling dealer with receipts and a clear title.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
In 2020, the exterior was refinished in red. Features include chrome bumpers, dual rearview mirrors, three fuel tanks, a long bed, and tread plate bed rail protectors. The inside of the bed has a smooth rubber coating. The selling dealer states that a small nick in the paint is present on the rear driver-side and by the gas cap door as seen in the gallery to the right. A walk-around video can be seen below.
EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES
A set of 17-inch Moto Metal wheels is wrapped in new Hankook radial tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The cab is furnished with new bucket seats and a center console upholstered in red and black leather, red door panels, and matching trim. Features include manual windows, power steering, a floor-mounted automatic transmission shifter, a recently recharged air conditioning system, and an AM/FM/CD radio with a remote. The selling dealer states that the headliner is new, but is a little loose on one side.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
A 100-mph speedometer and gauges for the fuel level, alternator, coolant temperature, and oil pressure are located ahead of the driver. With 7,166 miles logged since the engine rebuild, the odometer reads 94,692 miles, which the selling dealer reports to be accurate.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
Power is provided by the reportedly original rebuilt 390cid V8 and backed by a Ford C6 three-speed automatic transmission, which replaces the original manual gearbox. Engine bay features include a 2.68-inch camshaft and a rebuilt starter. A new windshield wiper motor was installed in 2022.
UNDERCARRIAGE
This Ford is equipped with an independent I-beam front suspension and a solid rear drive axle with a new differential gasket. Braking is provided by new power four-wheel drums. A new dual exhaust system, a new front suspension, and new radius arms were installed in 2023.
