This 1969 Pontiac Grand Prix Model J hardtop coupe is 1 of fewer than 200 configured in its color and trim configuration for the year, and it has a numbers-matching 400ci V8 paired with a Turbo-Hydramatic transmission. The car is finished in Matador Red over a burgundy vinyl interior with a parchment Cordova top. The vehicle was originally delivered to Seifert Pontiac in Denver, Colorado. Located in Malone, New York, this Grand Prix is now offered by the selling dealer on a clean New York title.
The car is painted Matador Red and has a parchment vinyl “Cordova” top. The bumpers and trim are chrome-plated, and the car has quad headlights flanked by clear marker lights at each side of the front end. The vehicle has been garage-kept and shows in excellent condition throughout. There are dual exhausts at the rear.
Factory 14” 5-spoke steel wheels with chrome trim rings and red center caps are mounted to BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires on all four corners. Variable-ratio power steering is equipped.
The interior is fitted with burgundy carpeting and burgundy vinyl bucket seats separated by a center console with a lockable compartment. Factory options include air conditioning, push-button radio, rear seat speaker, tilt 3-spoke steering wheel, and Soft Ray glass for all the windows. The trunk is carpeted and contains the factory spare tire and jack equipment.
Instrumentation includes a 140-mph speedometer and an analog clock, along with gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. The 5-digit odometer reads 99k miles. True mileage is unknown.
The numbers-matching 400ci V8 is original to the vehicle and is equipped with a 4-barrel carburetor. It was factory-rated at 350 horsepower and retains many of its factory components. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Turbo-Hydramatic automatic transmission and 3.23:1 rear end.
Additional undercarriage photos can be found in the gallery.
The original MSRP of the vehicle was $5,230.06. The sale includes a build sheet, spare tire jack and accessories, owner’s manual, warranty booklet, and Pontiac maintenance folio.
