OVERVIEW
This 1989 Ford F-150 XL Regular Cab is a two-wheel-drive long-bed pickup powered by a 5.0-liter V8 mated to an E4OD four-speed automatic overdrive transmission. In addition to being repainted in 2022, it has received new tires and replacement brake hardware under the seller’s ownership. Equipment includes swing-away mirrors, a bedliner, power windows, power steering, and power brakes. Finished in two-tone copper and white over a brown cloth interior, this eighth-generation F-150 is now offered with a clean CARFAX report and a clear title in the seller’s name.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
The deluxe two-tone exterior was repainted copper and white last year. Features include white pinstriping, chrome bumpers with rub strips, low-mounted swing-away mirrors, wheel arch moldings, a sliding rear window, and a Tuffliner bed liner.
EXTERIOR – WHEELS AND TIRES
Steel 15-inch wheels with polished trim rings are wrapped in new tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The interior of the cab is furnished with a brown cloth bench seat and matching trim for the door panels, dash, headliner, and carpeting. Features include power windows, power door locks, power steering, and a radio. The air conditioning system has not been converted from R12 refrigerant and requires a recharge.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
Instrumentation includes an 85-mph speedometer and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit mechanical odometer reads 44,937 miles, although the true mileage on the chassis is unknown. A potential odometer rollover was noted on the CARFAX report in 2006; it also shows that the vehicle has been exempt from odometer reporting since then.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
The fuel-injected 5.0-liter V8 was rated at 185 horsepower and 270 lb-ft of torque when new. Power is transferred to the rear wheels via a column-shifted E4OD four-speed automatic overdrive transmission.
UNDERCARRIAGE
The power braking system received new calipers, rotors, and pads within the last year.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
The CARFAX report begins in 1988 and shows accident-free ownership in Pennsylvania. The last emissions inspection on record was performed in 2016.
