NO RESERVE: 2000 Jaguar XK8 Convertible

OVERVIEW

This 2000 Jaguar XK8 convertible has been driven 70,700 miles since new and has been Arizona-owned for most of its life. Power comes from an AJ-series 4.0-liter V8 mated to a ZF five-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes front and rear fog lamps, newer Michelin tires, automatic climate control, walnut trim, and ventilated disc brakes. Finished in champagne beige and equipped with a tan retractable top over a beige leather interior, this XK8 is now offered at no reserve with service records, owner’s booklets, a clean CARFAX report, and a clear title.

EXTERIOR – FEATURES

In 2014, the body was repainted in the original champagne beige color. Features include xenon headlights, front and rear fog lamps, and dual bright exhaust outlets. EXTERIOR – WHEELS AND TIRES

Chrome 18-inch seven-spoke wheels are wrapped in 245/45 front and 255/45 rear Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4 tires that have 2020 date codes.

INTERIOR – FEATURES

The interior is appointed with beige leather heated and power-adjustable bucket seats up front, dual seats in the back, and matching trim adorning the door panels, dash, center console, and carpeting. Features include remote keyless entry, power windows, power door locks, speed-sensitive power steering, cruise control, burl walnut trim, automatic climate control, and a radio. Wear is visible on the center console armrest.

INTERIOR – GAUGES

Instrumentation consists of a 170-mph speedometer, a 7,500-rpm tachometer, and supporting gauges for the coolant temperature, fuel level, oil pressure, and voltage. The digital odometer reads 70,700 miles, which lines up with the most recent figure of 69,452 miles recorded on the CARFAX report in March 2022.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

The AJ-series 4.0-liter V8 uses variable-cam phasing and was rated at 290 horsepower and 290 lb-ft of torque when new. A tune-up was reportedly performed in October 2023 which included an air conditioning service as well as the replacement of the spark plugs, spark plug wires, and fluids. Additional service records show the replacement of the air conditioning evaporator and the water pump in 2011. Output is sent to the rear wheels via a console-shifted ZF five-speed automatic transmission.

UNDERCARRIAGE

Handling is assisted by traction and stability control. Stopping is performed by ventilated four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS

The CARFAX report begins in January 2000 and shows accident-free ownership in Arizona, Pennsylvania, and Ohio. An Arizona emissions inspection was performed in 2022. Service records and owner’s booklets will come with the vehicle.
