1973 GMC JIMMY 4X4

OVERVIEW

This restored 1973 GMC Jimmy received 33-inch BFGoodrich tires, a TMI interior, a four-inch lift, and several other additions since 2020. It is powered by a 350cid V8 backed by a TH350 three-speed automatic transmission and an NP203 full-time transfer case. Features include power steering, front bucket seats, a RetroSound stereo with Kicker speakers, and power front disc brakes. Finished in Taupe and White and equipped with a removable hardtop over a black vinyl interior, this GMC comes from the selling dealer with a clear title.

EXTERIOR – FEATURES

During the restoration completed in 2021, the reportedly rust-free body was finished in Taupe and White. Features include new chrome bumpers, front driving lights, mid-body trim, dual rearview mirrors, and a removable hardtop. Cosmetic flaws include a paint crack on top of the tailgate, minor blemishes, and peeling window tint in the hardtop.

EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES

A set of 15-inch Chevrolet truck Rally wheels with Mile Marker manual locking front hubs and new beauty rings and center caps is wrapped in 33” x 12.5” BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A radial tires.

INTERIOR – FEATURES

The cabin is furnished with a replacement TMI interior that includes black vinyl bucket seats and a matching rear seat surrounded by black vinyl door panels and custom quarter panel trim. Features include manual windows, a tilt steering column-mounted automatic transmission shifter, a floor-mounted transfer case shifter, a RetroSound AM/FM/Bluetooth/Sirius-ready stereo with Kicker speakers in custom pods, an aftermarket climate control system, a new wiring harness, an insulated floor pan with black carpeting, and a factory roll bar.

INTERIOR – GAUGES

A set of New Vintage USA gauges that includes a 140-mph speedometer, an 8,000-rpm tachometer, and readouts for the fuel level and other systems are located ahead of the driver. The odometer reads 13 miles, but the true mileage on this vehicle is unknown. The selling dealer states that the shifting needle indicator can be intermittent.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

Power is provided by a 350cid V8 and backed by a TH350 three-speed automatic transmission and an NP203 full-time transfer case. According to the selling dealer, the engine produces 300 horsepower. Engine bay features include chrome valve covers, a chrome air cleaner, a Summit Racing serpentine pulley system, a new 140-amp alternator, a new power steering pump, a DieHard Red battery, and a Champion aluminum radiator with dual electric fans.

UNDERCARRIAGE

This GMC is equipped with a solid front axle, a solid rear axle, full-time four-wheel drive, and 3.73:1 gears. A four-inch lift, a Skyjacker steering stabilizer, and Skyjacker shocks have been installed. Braking is provided by power front discs and rear drums. A dual exhaust system exits behind the rear tires.
