Vehicle Story

OVERVIEW

This restored 1957 Chrysler 300C Sports Coupe Two-Door Hardtop is one of 1,918 built. It is powered by a Hemi 392cid V8 with dual four-barrel carburetors backed by a TorqueFlite three-speed push-button automatic transmission. Features include a power front bench seat, power windows, power steering, an AM radio with a rear speaker, and power brakes. Finished in Gauguin Red over an ivory leather interior, this 300C comes from the selling dealer with a clear title.

EXTERIOR – FEATURES 

During the restoration, the body was finished in Gauguin Red. Features include chrome bumpers and grille, a fender-mounted antenna, dual mirrors, and 300C side trim with red, white, and blue medallions. A walk-around video can be seen below.

EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES

A set of black 14-inch steel wheels with full hubcaps is wrapped in 9.00-14 BFGoodrich Silvertown whitewall bias-ply tires.

INTERIOR – FEATURES

The cabin is furnished with an ivory leather power front bench seat and a matching rear seat surrounded by ivory door panels and trim. Features include power windows and steering, a dashboard-mounted push-button automatic transmission shifter, and an AM radio with a rear speaker.

INTERIOR – GAUGES

A 150-mph speedometer, a clock, and gauges for the fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and battery are located ahead of the driver. The odometer reads 12,922 miles, but the true mileage on this vehicle is unknown.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

Output of 375 horsepower is provided by a Hemi 392cid V8 with dual four-barrel carburetors and backed by a TorqueFlite three-speed push-button automatic transmission. Engine bay features include a silver engine block and intake manifold, gold valve covers, and dual gold low-profile air cleaner housings.

UNDERCARRIAGE

This Chrysler was factory-equipped with an independent front suspension and a solid rear drive axle. Braking is provided by power four-wheel drums. A dual exhaust system exits at the rear.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS
