OVERVIEW
This 1971 Jeep CJ-5 is equipped with new exterior accessories, wheels and tires, interior parts, engine components, front disc brakes, and more. It is powered by a Buick Dauntless 225cid V6 backed by a three-speed manual transmission with a new clutch and a dual-range transfer case. Finished in orange over a black vinyl interior, this Jeep comes with a clear title in the seller's name.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
In 2021, the reportedly rust-free body was refinished in orange. Features include new aftermarket bumpers, a new Badland winch, new tube rocker steps, new treadplate doors, rear body corner covers, a new Bimini top, and a swing-away spare tire mount. The seller states that some small nicks in the paint are present.
EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES
A set of new black 15-inch Fuel aluminum wheels with manual locking hubs is wrapped in new 33” x 12.50” Cooper Discoverer STT Pro radial tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The cabin is furnished with new black vinyl high-back front bucket seats and a matching rear bench seat. Features include black Rhino Linings material, a center console with cup holders, floor-mounted manual and transfer case shifters, a new Sony AM/FM/CD stereo and speakers, and a roll bar with black padding.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
A 90-mph speedometer, an inclinometer, and gauges for the fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and voltage are located ahead of the driver. The odometer reads 590 miles, but the true mileage on this vehicle is unknown.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
Power is provided by a Buick Dauntless 225cid V6 and backed by a three-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case. New parts include the alternator, valve covers, air cleaner, and aluminum radiator. The seller states that the heater fan does not work and a full service was completed on the engine, radiator, and transmission in November 2023.
UNDERCARRIAGE
This Jeep was factory-equipped with a solid front axle, a solid rear axle, and part-time four-wheel drive. Braking is provided by new manual front discs and rear drums. A dual exhaust system exits at the rear. The seller states that a new lift kit, fuel tank, and shocks have been installed.
