Vehicle Story

OVERVIEW

This custom 1970 Chevrolet Camaro has received several upgrades including new paint, a custom TMI interior, Billet Specialties wheels, and an upgraded suspension. It is powered by a Dart 427cid LS7 V8 backed by a 4L75-E four-speed automatic transmission. Features include power steering, a Vintage Air SureFit climate control system, a RideTech StrongArms coilover suspension, and Wilwood power disc brakes. Finished in blue with black striping over a black vinyl interior, this Camaro comes from the selling dealer with a clear title.

EXTERIOR – FEATURES

During this custom build, the reportedly rust-free body was finished in blue and equipped with black accent stripes. Features include a front lower spoiler, chrome bumpers, dual sport mirrors with a manual driver-side remote, rocker moldings, a rear spoiler, and Z28 emblems.  A walk-around video can be seen below.

EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES

A set of 18-inch front and 20-inch rear Billet Specialties Pro Touring Wedge concave wheels is wrapped in Continental radial tires.

INTERIOR – FEATURES

The cabin is furnished with TMI black vinyl bucket seats and a matching rear seat surrounded by black door panels and trim. Features include manual windows, a custom center console-mounted automatic transmission shifter, power steering, a three-spoke aluminum steering wheel with a black grip, and a Vintage Air SureFit climate control system.

INTERIOR – GAUGES

A set of analog Dakota Digital gauges, including a 150-mph speedometer, an 8,000-rpm tachometer, a clock, and readouts for the fuel level, coolant temperature, and oil pressure, are located ahead of the driver. The odometer reads 2,374 miles, but the true mileage on this vehicle is unknown.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

Power is provided by a Dart 427cid LS7 V8 and backed by a 4L75-E four-speed automatic transmission. Engine bay features include a smooth firewall, aluminum hood hinges, a custom air intake tube, an aluminum radiator, and dual electric fans.

UNDERCARRIAGE

This Camaro is equipped with an independent front suspension, a solid rear drive axle, and RideTech StrongArms coilovers. Braking is provided by Wilwood power disc brakes.

@ru4crzn – Thank you, I was trying to verify it was indeed a Z28 as It is likely that since it was built in Norwood it would have a Z28.1x stamp on the trim tag, which this does. Other sites that built the 70 camaro's did not, so only the build sheet would tell. ...

oh duh.. I cant believe I didn't think about wanting to verify being a Z/28 or not. Thanks for the info!

@GCC123 – Hello, thank you for your interest! Please see the attached picture below, this car came new as a 58A originally Autumn Gold with white vinyl top. Heavily modified and upgraded during the restoration so not much will line up to how the car came from the factory in 1970. The LS7 in this car now arguably cost 5 times what the whole car would have cost brand new, oh how the market has changed. Please let me know if you have any additional questions. Happy bidding and great taste in your search for a classic! ...
