OVERVIEW
This body-off-restored 1957 Chevrolet 3200 big-window pickup build has new paint, an upgraded drivetrain, disc brakes, and several new parts. It is powered by a fuel-injected Chevrolet Camaro LS3 6.2-liter V8 backed by a 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission. Features include LED headlights, one-piece side glass, a wood bed floor, an Ididit tilt steering column, power windows, power steering, an AM/FM/Bluetooth stereo with navigation, a Vintage Air climate control system, a replacement TCI chassis with an independent front suspension, and Wilwood power disc brakes. Finished in Impact Blue over a two-tone gray vinyl and microfiber interior, this Chevrolet comes from the selling dealer with restoration photos, an owner’s manual, and a clear title.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
As part of the build process, the body was finished in Impact Blue. Features include silver bumpers, a chrome grille, LED halo headlights, shaved hood trim and fender emblems, electric windshield wipers, dual rearview mirrors, one-piece door glass, new window felts, tinted windows, a short bed with a gray wood-plank floor, capped bed rails, and LED taillights. EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES
A set of 20-inch U.S. Mags aluminum wheels is wrapped in 245/40ZR20 radial tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The cabin is furnished with a two-tone gray vinyl and quilted microfiber bench seat surrounded by two-tone gray vinyl and quilted microfiber door panels, a light gray quilted microfiber headliner, and blue trim. Features include power windows, power steering, an Ididit tilt steering column-mounted automatic transmission shifter, a center console with 12-volt power outlets and a Pioneer touchscreen navigation system, a vintage-look AM/FM/Bluetooth digital stereo, a Vintage Air climate control system, kick panel-mounted speakers, a rear-mounted Kenwood amplifier, and a 10-inch Kicker subwoofer.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
A 100-mph speedometer and gauges for the fuel level, oil pressure, voltage, and coolant temperature are located ahead of the driver. The odometer reads 1,214 miles, which reflects the mileage accrued since the build was completed. The true mileage on this vehicle is unknown.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
Power is provided by a fuel-injected Chevrolet Camaro LS3 6.2-liter V8 and backed by a 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission. According to the selling dealer, the engine had 10,000 miles on it when it was installed. Engine bay features include custom body-color engine cover panels, a body-color firewall and inner fenders, a custom air intake tube, an aluminum radiator, long tube headers, a Painless Performance Products wiring harness, billet aluminum hood hinges, and a DieHard battery.
UNDERCARRIAGE
This original chassis has been replaced with a TCI (Total Cost Involved) chassis that features an independent front suspension, power rack-and-pinion steering, and a Ford nine-inch solid rear axle mounted with leaf springs. Braking is provided by power Wilwood discs. The exhaust exits at the rear through dual rectangular outlets. A stainless steel fuel tank has been installed.
