OVERVIEW
This restored 1956 Ford Fairlane Crown Victoria is powered by the reportedly original and rebuilt 292cid V8 backed by a three-speed automatic transmission. Features include power steering, an AM radio, a new carburetor, and new brakes. Finished in Peacock Blue and Colonial White over a reupholstered White vinyl and Dark Peacock cloth interior, this Crown Victoria comes from the selling dealer with service records, a trim tag translation, a shop manual, catalogs, and a clear title.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
During the restoration 10 years ago, the reportedly rust-free body was finished in the original colors of Peacock Blue and Colonial White. Features include chrome bumpers, a fender-mounted antenna, dual rearview mirrors, color-keyed rear wheel skirts, and rear bumper-exit dual exhaust outlets.
EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES
A set of black 15-inch steel wheels with full hubcaps is wrapped in Sears whitewall bias-ply tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The cabin is furnished with a reupholstered White vinyl and Dark Peacock cloth bench seat and a matching rear seat surrounded by coordinating vinyl door panels and Peacock Blue trim. Features include manual windows, power steering, a column-mounted automatic transmission shifter, and an AM radio.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
A 120-mph speedometer, a clock, and gauges for the fuel level, coolant temperature, and generator are located ahead of the driver. The odometer reads 33,724 miles, which the dealer reports to be accurate.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
Power is provided by the reportedly original and rebuilt 292cid V8, which is backed by a three-speed automatic transmission. Engine bay features include polished finned aluminum valve covers, a new four-barrel carburetor, new gaskets and fluids, and a chrome Edelbrock air cleaner housing.
UNDERCARRIAGE
This Ford was factory-equipped with an independent front suspension and a solid rear drive axle. Braking is provided by new manual four-wheel drums.
