Vehicle Story

OVERVIEW

This frame-off built 1955 Ford F-100 has received many upgrades and new parts including new leather and velour interior, Dolphin Racing gauges, and a six-inch lift. It is powered by a rebuilt 351cid Windsor V8 backed by a new C-6 three-speed automatic transmission with a dual-range transfer case. Features include a forward tilting hood, power steering, a tilt steering column, a Pioneer AM/FM stereo with smartphone integration, drilled and slotted power four-wheel disc brakes, and a 1981 Ford Bronco chassis swap. Finished in Dodger Blue over a black leather and brown velour interior, this F-100 comes with a clear title.

EXTERIOR – FEATURES

In 2022, the reportedly rust-free body was finished in Dodger Blue. Features include custom black tube bumpers with a new textured powder-coating, a new black texture powder-coated grille, LED headlights, a forward-tilting hood, an eight ball hood ornament, a shaved cab-mounted fuel filler, new dual rear view mirrors, tinted windows, new black side steps with a textured powder-coating, a short bed step side pickup box, a wood bed floor, a spray-in bedliner, hidden tailgate latches, new custom LED tail lights, a Ford tailgate logo, and a rear fender-mounted fuel filler. Newly installed parts include a tinted windshield, black powder-coated fenders, and bulbs. The seller states that a small scratch is present above the back passenger fender.

EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES

A set of new black American Racing wheels is wrapped in 35” x 12.50” R15 Toyo Open Country A/T radial tires.

INTERIOR – FEATURES

The cab is furnished with a bench seat upholstered in black leather with black velour inserts surrounded by blue painted door panels and trim. Features include a new wiring harness and fuses, manual windows, power steering, a tilt steering column, floor-mounted Hurst automatic and B&M transfer case shifters, and a new Pioneer AM/FM smartphone-integrated stereo. Newly installed parts include Dolphin Racing gauges, a Kole Audio five-channel 2500-watt amplifier, an ignition switch, door covers, a Hurst shifter, a heater core, a door striker latch, and a steering wheel.

INTERIOR – GAUGES

A set of Dolphin Racing gauges including a 140-mph speedometer and gauges for the fuel level, voltage, oil pressure, and water temperature are located in a polished aluminum gauge panel ahead of the driver. With only 1,600-miles logged on the rebuilt Windsor engine, the odometer 1,421 reads miles but the true mileage on this vehicle is unknown.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

Power is provided by a rebuilt 351cid Windsor V8 backed by a new C-6 three-speed automatic transmission with a dual-range transfer case. Engine bay features include polished aluminum valve covers, an aluminum intake manifold, a four-barrel carburetor, a chrome Edelbrock air cleaner housing, an aluminum radiator with dual electric fans, and a dual circuit power master cylinder. The seller states that all fluids were changed in January 2024.

UNDERCARRIAGE

This 1955 Ford F-100 body has been custom-mounted to a 1981 Ford Bronco chassis during the frame-off build. The chassis features an independent front suspension, a solid rear drive axle, and part-time four-wheel drive. Braking is provided by new drilled and slotted four-wheel power discs. A dual exhaust system exits at the rear. Newly installed parts include a starter, a power steering conversion kit, a six-inch lift, Bilstein 5100 dual front shocks, Bilstein 5100 single rear shocks, right rear axle hub bearings and seal, and a front axle cover. A Diehard battery was installed in December 2023 and undercarriage paint was applied.

Hello to all bidders! Once again I wish to let you know this is a frame off build. It is 2 different trucks! It has the chassis and engine from a fully rebuilt 351 Windsor engine from a 1981 4x4 ford bronco less than 1600 miles and the body of an original 1955 ford f100. This is a one of a kind build. This has a high reserve for the investment and time I have put into it. To the one that wins this build will have one custom ford f100/ford Bronco 4x4 rig like NO OTHER!
