OVERVIEW
This 1978 Dodge W150 Custom Power Wagon has received new fuel system components, a transmission rebuild, a new Flowmaster exhaust system, new suspension hardware, new brakes, and other updates under current ownership. It is powered by a 400cid V8 backed by a rebuilt TorqueFlite 727 three-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case. Features include a sliding rear window, air conditioning, a Chrysler AM/FM/CB radio, power steering, and power front disc brakes. Finished in Canyon Red Sunfire Metallic and White over a black vinyl interior, this Power Wagon comes with a clear title in the seller's name.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
The reportedly rust-free body has been refinished in Canyon Red Sunfire Metallic and White. Features include a chrome front bumper, a bright grille, a fender-mounted antenna, a newer windshield, body side trim, dual towing mirrors, a sliding rear window, a long Sweptline pickup box, a tailgate protector, and a silver rear step bumper. The seller states that the clearcoat shows some blemishes from the truck being outside, but there are no major issues with the finish.
EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES
A set of 15-inch steel wheels with full hubcaps is wrapped in BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The cabin is furnished with the reportedly original black vinyl bucket seats, which are surrounded by black vinyl door panels and trim. Features include manual windows, newer door glass regulators, newer door seals, a center jump seat, power steering, a steering column-mounted automatic transmission shifter, a floor-mounted transfer case shifter, a factory AM/FM/CB radio, and air conditioning.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
A 100-mph speedometer and gauges for the fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and alternator are located ahead of the driver. The odometer reads 69,000 miles, which the seller reports to be the actual documented mileage.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
Power is provided by a 400cid V8 and backed by a rebuilt TorqueFlite 727 three-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case. A rebuilt carburetor has been installed and a Virginia state inspection was completed in September 2023. According to the seller, the transmission rebuild is still under warranty.
UNDERCARRIAGE
This Power Wagon was factory-equipped with a solid front axle, a solid rear axle, and part-time four-wheel drive. Braking is provided by power front discs and rear drums. A new Flowmaster exhaust system has been installed. The seller states that the brakes have been rebuilt, the fuel tank has been removed and cleaned, and the following parts have been replaced under their ownership:
- Rubber brake hoses
- Master cylinder
- Fuel sending unit
- Fuel pump
- Shocks

Receipts from North Carolina shows mileage. One shows 67,000 miles in 1998. Also some repair receipts that were left in the truck when we bought it.

motor-Starts &runs smooth on a cold start. Leaks- small drip under the differential. Knocking- No knocking from the engine Compression- Per Spec
