OVERVIEW
This 1990 Chevrolet Corvette convertible has been driven 64,428 miles since new and comes with a color-matched removable hardtop in addition to the standard soft top. Power comes from an L98 5.7-liter V8 mated to a four-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential. Equipment includes halogen fog lamps, 17-inch wheels, Preferred Equipment Group #1, a Delco/Bose audio system, automatic climate control, and anti-lock disc brakes. Finished in Polo Green Metallic over a Saddle leather interior, this C4 Corvette is now offered by the selling dealer with three keys, service records, a window sticker, a clean CARFAX report, and a clear title.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
The Polo Green Metallic exterior features pop-up headlights, halogen fog lamps, intermittent windshield wipers, a color-matched removable hardtop, a black soft top, and a quad-outlet exhaust system. The headlight motors were replaced in 2009.
EXTERIOR – WHEELS AND TIRES
Aluminum 17-inch sawblade-style wheels are wrapped in BFGoodrich tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The cockpit is outfitted with power-adjustable Saddle leather bucket seats, matched to the door panels, lower dash, carpeting, and embroidered floor mats. Features include power windows, power door locks, power steering, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, cruise control, automatic climate control, and a newer factory Delco/Bose AM/FM/CD radio. All four speakers and the amplifier were replaced in 2014.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
Instrumentation includes a digital speedometer, a 6,000-rpm tachometer, and gauges for the fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, oil temperature, and voltage. The digital odometer reads 64,428 miles, which lines up with the figure of 64,153 that was recorded on the CARFAX report in 2018.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
The L98 5.7-liter V8 has a sequential port fuel injection system and was rated at 250 horsepower and 345 lb-ft of torque when new. An optional engine oil cooler was added from the factory. Output is directed to the rear wheels via a console-shifted four-speed automatic transmission, a limited-slip differential, and an optional performance axle ratio. A mechanical inspection was performed by the selling dealer.
UNDERCARRIAGE
Stopping power comes from a Bosch anti-lock disc braking system. The chassis uses an independent front suspension and a five-link rear end with a transverse fiberglass spring.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
The CARFAX report begins in 1990 and shows accident-free ownership in Michigan since new. There is an open manufacturer safety recall from 1991 regarding the right-side safety belt retractors. The dealer notes that the car received a Best of Show award at the 2000 Corvette Crossroads Auto Show in Mackinaw City, Michigan. Three keys, service records, and a window sticker showing a $42,940 retail price will come with the car.

This auction is going to end tomorrow about this time. I wanted to give soom of the still interested bidders some additional information about this gorgeous Hardtop Convertible Corvette. I purchased this car locally several months ago. Although my dealership specializes in cars with manual transmissions, I really couldn't pass up the opportunity to acquire this beautiful Corvette. My first Corvette was a 1990 Polo Green Corvette Hardtop!. I have owned one C4, two C5's and one C6. This car comes with a complete set of records starting with the original laminated Window Sticker and including all of the maintenance records and some other Chevrolet and Corvette marketing and sales material. For example, it includes all of the OEM instructions on how to raise and lower the soft top and how to install and remove the hardtop. It also includes the two tools that are necessary to install and remove the hardtop. The prior owner was an elderly "Car Lady". She purchased the car in 2004 and only drove it 7,000 miles in the 19 years she owned it. She babied the car and mostly drove it to car shows and on occasional weekend trips up the Michigan "Third Coast" on sunny days with the top down. The hardtop was never on the car while she owned it. She had a serious medical condition that required extensive surgery and was no longer able to get in and out of the car. She held off selling the car for two years after that because she didn't want to part with it. One thing to note. I didn't receive any actual proof that it won Best of Show at the Mackinaw City Car Show. All I received was an entry/identification document from show with the handwritten note that it won Best of Show. One other thing The prior owner wanted to listen to CD's show she paid several thousand dollars to have a factory CD Player installed by the dealer. This car is in absolutely fantastic condition! The paint is flawless. Everything works. My mechanic did not find anything wrong with it during our pre-purchase inspection. Happy Bidding.
