OVERVIEW
This restored 1956 Chevrolet Pickup is powered by a rebuilt 327cid V8 backed by a rebuilt 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission. Features include a wood bed floor, power rack-and-pinion steering, air conditioning, a tilt steering column, a vintage-look AM/FM/Bluetooth stereo, a Mustang II independent front suspension, and power four-wheel disc brakes. Finished in Victory Red over a black leather interior, this Chevrolet comes with a clear title.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
During the restoration about three years ago, the reportedly rust-free body was refinished in Victory Red. Features include chrome bumpers, shaved hood and fender emblems, dual rear view mirrors, a short step side pickup box, a wood bed floor with polished stainless steel strips, and hidden tailgate latches.
EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES
A set of 20-inch American Racing Salt Flat wheels is wrapped in 245/40/R20 Cavalry UHP radial tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The cabin is furnished with a sculpted diamond-stitched black leather bench seat, with built-in cup holders, surrounded by diamond stitched black leather door panels and trim. Features include manual windows, power rack-and-pinion steering, a tilt steering column, a cut-down 1959 Impala steering wheel, a floor-mounted automatic transmission shifter, air conditioning, black Daytona weave carpet, and a vintage-looking AM/FM/Bluetooth stereo.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
A 100-mph speedometer and gauges for the fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and voltage are located ahead of the driver. With 200 miles added during the two-year ownership, the true mileage on this vehicle is unknown.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
Power is provided by a rebuilt 327cid V8, making a reported 350-hp, backed by a rebuilt 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission. Engine bay features include aluminum heads, polished aluminum valve covers, an Edelbrock aluminum intake manifold, a four-barrel carburetor, and a 60s era GM dual snorkel air cleaner housing that has been powder-coated to a chrome-like finish. The seller states that the engine and transmission have logged 3,000 miles since the rebuild completion. Additionally, all fluid levels were checked and an oil change was completed in February 2024.
UNDERCARRIAGE
The chassis of this pickup has been modified to accept a Mustang II-style independent front suspension with tubular control arms, a power rack-and-pinion steering assembly, and adjustable coil over shocks. The solid rear drive axle is mounted with leaf springs. Braking is provided by power four-wheel discs. A dual exhaust system exits at the rear.
