OVERVIEW
This frame-on-restored 1956 Plymouth Fury was reportedly previously owned for 20 years by radio and television host Bill Boggs. It has received several updated parts including new paint, a new wiring harness, and new digital gauges. It is powered by a rebuilt 303cid V8 equipped with dual four-barrel carburetors and backed by a three-speed manual transmission with overdrive. Features include new chrome wire wheels, a reportedly dealer-installed Mark IV air conditioning system with an R-134a refrigerant conversion, an original radio converted to AM/FM, and new power disc brakes. Finished in black over a black and tan vinyl interior, this Plymouth comes with a 1st place trophy, removed original parts, additional parts, receipts, vehicle history, and a clear title.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
During the frame-on restoration, the body was stripped to bare metal, covered with epoxy primer, refinished in black, and given a clear coat. Features include chrome bumpers, a chrome grille, Fury side trim with gold inserts, and a rear-mounted antenna. The seller states that some surface rust is present.
EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES
A set of chrome 15-inch wire wheels is wrapped in new 225/70 BFGoodrich Silvertown redline radial tires.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The cabin is furnished with black vinyl front bucket seats with tan inserts and a matching rear seat surrounded by black and tan vinyl door panels. Features include manual windows and steering, an original radio with an AM/FM conversion, a reportedly dealer-installed Mark IV air conditioning system that has been converted to run R-134a refrigerant, and a steering column-mounted manual transmission shifter.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
A 120-mph speedometer, a 6,000-rpm tachometer, and LED digital gauges for the fuel level, oil pressure, temperature, and voltage are located ahead of the driver. An original clock is mounted to the top of the dashboard. The odometer reads 72,297 miles, which the seller reports to be accurate.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
Power is provided by a 303cid V8 equipped with dual four-barrel carburetors and a factory aluminum intake manifold and backed by a three-speed manual transmission with overdrive. The seller states that the engine was rebuilt under previous ownership approximately 4,000 miles ago. Engine bay features include a chrome package, a solid-lifter camshaft, and a new chrome 75-amp one-wire alternator.
UNDERCARRIAGE
This Fury is equipped with an independent front suspension and a new A-body 8.75-inch solid rear drive axle with 4.10:1 gears and a Sure-Grip differential. Braking is provided by a dual-circuit master cylinder and new power discs. A dual exhaust system exits at the rear.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
The seller will include a 1st place trophy, removed original parts, additional parts, receipts, and vehicle history with the purchase of the car.
@TybeeMerc – Sounds good. Thanks for the feedback. ...
To all bidders and others. We're coming close to the end with a ways to go to meet my reserve, which I have lowered. This is a very fine vehicle in all respects. No disappointments. I've owned it for 12 years and know the car inside and out. I've done most of the work myself. I'm hoping to see some more bidding! Thanks to you all.

@TybeeMerc – How does the car run and drive? Does the A/C work good? The description mentions some surface rust. Where is it? Lastly, do you have a video of it running? Thanks. ...
The car runs and drives very nice. An easy highway driver. Overdrive drops RPM about 800 at 70 MPH. AC works fine. The only surface rust is underneath. You can see some evidence in the photos. I'm not capable of doing a video, sorry. You wouldn't be disappointed in the drivetrain. Engine has no odd noises.

@Christiancowboy – Are the dual quads stock or an upgrade ...
The aluminum dual quad intake manifold was a factory option only. Dealers supplied a cast iron option. The carburetors on it now are aftermarket installed by the person I bought it from. I do have the original carbs which probably need a rebuild.
