This 1979 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am is a 65k-mile original example finished in black over a saddle vinyl interior. The car is powered by a 4.9 liter 301ci V8 paired with a 4-speed manual transmission and equipment includes a modern radio, quad-outlet exhaust system, and special exterior aero treatment. This second-generation Firebird is offered by the selling dealer on a clear Minnesota title.
The body is finished in black with gold Trans Am graphics, including the golden screaming chicken decal on the shaker hood and Trans Am lettering at the rear. Other features consist of an air dam is fitted below the quad headlamps, functional front fender vents, a full-width louvered taillamp panel with quad exhaust outlets, and a factory three-piece spoiler.
275/40 BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires are mounted on factory 15” snowflake wheels with gold inserts. Handling and deceleration are managed by power steering and power-assisted front discs and rear drums.
The interior is trimmed in saddle vinyl bucket seats, with matching door panels and tan carpet. An aftermarket AM/FM/CD head unit is installed, an aluminum bezel frames the gauge cluster, and a large jack is located in the carpet-lined trunk. Photos show the wear of the trunk molding and liner.
Instrumentation is framed by a 3-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel and includes a 100-mph speedometer, a 6k tachometer with inset clock, and gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and voltage. The 5-digit mechanical odometer reads approximately 65k miles, which is stated as accurate and original per the seller.
The original 4.9 liter 301ci V8 provides power, and it is paired with a 4-speed manual transmission with a console-mounted shifter.
Front and rear sway bars are fitted.

@Dudley – Are the frame, rocker panels and floor rusty? Do you have pictures of the bottom? ...
The floor and frame is solid this car spent most of its life in southern states.
@Pontiacexcitment – Thats a Pontiac 400, not the Olds 403. Very nice car.... ...
Some TA's came with the 403 when new. I'm old enough to know that, LOL
