Vehicle Story

OVERVIEW

This 1972 Chevrolet C20 Custom Stepside pickup is powered by the reportedly original 292cid I6 backed by a four-speed manual transmission. Features include a sliding rear window, a wood bed floor, power steering, an AM/FM/CD radio, updated seating, and power front disc brakes. Finished in light green and white over a gray cloth interior, this C20 comes from the selling dealer with a clear title.

EXTERIOR – FEATURES

According to the selling dealer, this truck appears to have been restored 30 years ago. The reportedly original factory colors of light green and white have  been wet-sanded and clear-coated to protect the patina. Features include chrome bumpers, a cowl-mounted antenna, dual rearview mirrors, a cab-mounted fuel tank, a long Stepside bed with a spare tire mount indentation, a sliding rear window, and a spar-varnished wood bed floor. The selling dealer states that surface rust and patina are present on the body and the bed. A walk-around and test drive video can be seen below.

EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES

A set of white steel wheels with 1980s Ford dog dish hubcaps is wrapped in radial tires.

INTERIOR – FEATURES

The cabin is furnished with later-model Chevrolet gray cloth bucket seats. Features include manual windows, power steering, a custom center console with a storage area, an overhead console, a floor-mounted manual transmission shifter, and an AM/FM/CD radio.

INTERIOR – GAUGES

A 100-mph speedometer and gauges for the fuel level, battery, oil pressure, and temperature are located ahead of the driver. The odometer reads 57,402 miles, but the true mileage on this vehicle is unknown.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

Power is provided by the reportedly original 292cid I6 and backed by a four-speed manual transmission.

UNDERCARRIAGE

This C20 was factory-equipped with an independent front suspension and a solid rear drive axle. Braking is provided by power front disc and rear drum brakes. A dual exhaust system exits at the rear. The selling dealer states that surface rust and patina are present on the undercarriage.
