@MRMR – Is it titled as a '53 and just has '54 tail-lights, or is it a '54? ...

It is a 1953 with different taillights. The originals will be included with the sale.

@MRMR: Well, it has a ’53 grill FWIW...

What a stunningly beautiful car! I’m old enough to remember these cars from when they were new, but they never impressed me as much as I am impressed now. If they had offered the new ones in this color combination, I’ll bet they would have sold a lot more! Otherwise, I note just one subtle deviation from a totally original exterior: the ’54 Chevy tail lights - and they are a significant improvement, IMHO. Even so, the original ’54 tail-lights had split lenses differentiating the back-up lamps from the red stop-tail-turn-signal ones. These have been replaced with all-red aftermarket ones that I remember from the ‘50s. A subtle but welcome change that smooths the overall lines of the car. Of course the split-manifold dual-exhaust systems for inline sixes were all aftermarket too - adding a stereophonic burble to the typical monophonic I-6 sound of most engines in those times. For the first time in my life, I WANT a ’53 Chevy. Or at least I want this one. GLWTA!
