Vehicle Story

OVERVIEW

This 1966 Dodge Coronet 440 two-door hardtop is powered by a 383cid V8 backed by a three-speed automatic transmission. Features include a hood scoop with custom graphics, power steering, an AM radio, a Hurst shifter, and an MSD electronic ignition system. Finished in aquamarine blue and equipped with a black vinyl top over a black vinyl interior, this Dodge comes from the selling dealer with a clear title.

EXTERIOR – FEATURES

The reportedly rust-free aquamarine blue body is equipped  with a black vinyl top. Features include chrome bumpers, a hood scoop with custom graphics, rocker panel trim, a fender-mounted antenna, and a driver-side rearview mirror. Bubbling on the passenger-side door is visible in the gallery to the right. A walk-around video can be seen below.

EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES

A set of Cragar Keystone Klassic chrome wheels is wrapped in Cooper Cobra Radial G/T tires.

INTERIOR – FEATURES

The cabin is furnished with a black vinyl front bench seat and a matching rear seat surrounded by black vinyl door panels and trim. Features include manual windows, power steering, an AM radio, and a floor-mounted Hurst automatic transmission shifter. This car came from the factory with air conditioning, but that has been removed.

INTERIOR – GAUGES

A 120-mph speedometer and gauges for the fuel level, coolant temperature, and voltage are located ahead of the driver. An 8,000-rpm Sunpro Super tach II tachometer is mounted to the steering column. Additional Sunpro gauges for the temperature, voltage, and oil pressure are mounted under the dashboard. The odometer reads 95,747 miles, but the true mileage on this vehicle is unknown.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

The original 318cid V8 has been replaced with a 383cid V8, which is backed by a three-speed automatic transmission. Engine bay features include chrome valve covers, an aluminum intake manifold, a K&N air filter, and an MSD electronic ignition system.

UNDERCARRIAGE

This Dodge was factory-equipped with an independent front suspension and a solid rear drive axle. Braking is provided by manual drums. A dual exhaust system exits at the rear.

@DannnyInNJ – What happened to the glove box? Was it removed due to dash issues and never replaced? Odd that it's missing. ...

Great question! It was removed by the previous owner, assuming to make room for the aftermarket ventilation hoses that are shown... I am sure you could always find a glovebox on eBay if your bid exceeds the reserve. Appreciate your interest in it! Happy bidding.
