Vehicle Story

OVERVIEW

This 1966 Buick Riviera is powered by a Wildcat 465 425cid V8 backed by a Super Turbine three-speed automatic transmission. Features include power windows, a tilt steering column, power steering, and power brakes. Finished in light green over a green vinyl interior, this Buick comes from the selling dealer with a clear title.

EXTERIOR – FEATURES

Originally Verde Green (code J), the body has been refinished in light green. Features include chrome bumpers, a fender-mounted antenna, rocker and wheel well trim, a driver-side rearview mirror with a manual remote, and trunk trim. The selling dealer states that significant rust and paint bubbles are present; those can be seen in the gallery to the right. In addition, the front driver-side turn signal and the driver-side reverse light are inoperative. A walk-around video can be seen below.

EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES

A set of 15-inch steel wheels with full hubcaps is wrapped in BFGoodrich whitewall radial tires that have low tread and 2007 date codes.

INTERIOR – FEATURES

The cabin is furnished with a green vinyl (code 610) front bench seat and a matching rear seat surrounded by green vinyl door panels and trim. Features include power windows, power steering, and a tilt steering column-mounted automatic transmission shifter. The selling dealer states that some portions of the front seat have been repaired and the carpeting has been replaced. Additionally, only the front windows operate, the climate control blower is not working, the horn is inoperative, and the AM/FM radio draws power and generates sound but does not get signal because the antenna is damaged.

INTERIOR – GAUGES

A 145-mph speedometer, a clock, and gauges for the fuel level, amps, temperature, and oil pressure are located ahead of the driver. According to the selling dealer, the oil pressure and temperature gauges do not work and it is unknown if the fuel level readout functions. The odometer reads 95,743 miles, which the selling dealer reports to be accurate.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

Power is provided by a Wildcat 465 425cid V8 and backed by a Super Turbine three-speed automatic transmission. The selling dealer states that the carburetor may need to be rebuilt.

UNDERCARRIAGE

This Buick was factory-equipped with an independent front suspension and a solid rear drive axle. Braking is provided by power drums. A dual exhaust system exits at the rear.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS

The selling dealer charges a $250 documentation fee as part of the sale.

@Elo323 – When does the bidding stop? ...

The Auction ends in approximately 30 minutes and you can choose how much to increase the bid. It doesn't have to go up in single increments.

@ClassicAutoApp – How bad is the trunk rust, cannot see it with the rug piece in it. Please post a picture without it. ...

There is almost certainly some trunk rust, but as far as we can tell it looks worse from the bottom than it does from the top. There is another layer of carpet glued over the factory glued sound deadening, so these are the best photos we are able to provide.
