OVERVIEW
This 1967 Chevrolet Corvette convertible has been with the current owner for 45 years. It is powered by the reportedly numbers-matching and rebuilt 327cid backed by a rebuilt Muncie four-speed manual transmission. Features include a Kenwood AM/FM/cassette radio and a factory tachometer. Finished in Rally Red and equipped with a white vinyl top over a black vinyl interior, this Corvette comes from the selling dealer with the Protect-O-Plate, the original window sticker, and a clear title.
EXTERIOR – FEATURES
The exterior was refinished in Rally Red (code 974) lacquer 35 years ago. Features include chrome bumpers, electric hideaway headlights, a driver-side rearview mirror, a white convertible top, rocker trim, and a rear-mounted antenna. The selling dealer notes the presence of a few minor imperfections, which can be seen in the gallery to the right. A walk-around video is available below.
EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES
A set of 15-inch Corvette Rally wheels with flat center caps and bright trim rings is wrapped in Michelin Roadhandler Plus whitewall radial tires. The selling dealer states that the tires appear new but are older and should be replaced.
INTERIOR – FEATURES
The cabin is furnished with black vinyl (code STD) bucket seats surrounded by black vinyl door panels and trim. Features include manual windows and steering, a center console-mounted manual transmission shifter, and a Kenwood AM/FM/cassette radio. The selling dealer states that some paint wear is present on the console and dashboard, and rust is present on the chrome trim around the seats.
INTERIOR – GAUGES
A 160-mph speedometer, a 7,000-rpm tachometer, and gauges for the fuel level, water temperature, battery, and oil pressure are located ahead of the driver. A nonfunctional clock is in the center of the dashboard. The odometer reads 32,343 miles, but the true mileage on this vehicle is unknown because the odometer has not worked since hitting approximately 32,000 miles. The selling dealer estimates this car to have about 50,000 miles on it.
ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION
Power is provided by the reportedly numbers-matching 300-horsepower 327cid V8, which has been blueprinted, balanced, and rebuilt. The engine is backed by a rebuilt Muncie four-speed manual transmission. Engine bay features include finned aluminum Corvette valve covers, an aluminum intake manifold, a chrome air cleaner housing, and a chrome distributor cover.
UNDERCARRIAGE
This Corvette was factory-equipped with a four-wheel independent suspension and a rear drive axle. Braking is provided by manual discs. A dual exhaust system exits at the rear. The selling dealer states some surface rust is present.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
The dealer will include the Protect-O-Plate and the original window sticker as part of the sale.
