Vehicle Story

OVERVIEW

This restored 1965 Plymouth Belvedere II convertible is powered by a 440cid V8 backed by a TorqueFlite three-speed automatic transmission. Features include bucket seats, a center console, an upgraded camshaft, an MSD electronic ignition, power brakes, and exhaust cut-outs. Finished in red and equipped with a white vinyl convertible top over a red and maroon vinyl interior, this Belvedere II comes from the selling dealer with a clear title.

EXTERIOR – FEATURES

The reportedly rust-free body has been refinished in red and is equipped with a white vinyl convertible top. Features include chrome bumpers, a hood scoop, a fender-mounted antenna, side trim with white inserts, and trunk trim. A walk-around video can be seen below.

EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES

A set of five-spoke American Racing polished aluminum wheels is wrapped in BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires.

INTERIOR – FEATURES

The cabin is furnished with red and maroon vinyl bucket seats and a matching rear seat surrounded by red and maroon vinyl door panels and trim. Features include manual windows, power steering, an aftermarket steering wheel, a center console-mounted automatic transmission shifter, and an AM radio.

INTERIOR – GAUGES

The instrumentation consists of a 120-mph speedometer and gauges for the temperature, fuel level, and alternator. AutoMeter Auto Gage readouts for the oil pressure, voltage, and water temperature are located below the dashboard. The odometer reads 79,100 miles, but the true mileage on this vehicle is unknown.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

The original engine has been replaced with a 440cid V8, which is backed by a TorqueFlite three-speed automatic transmission. Engine bay features include finned aluminum valve covers, an aluminum intake manifold, an upgraded camshaft, a four-barrel carburetor, a K&N air filter, and an MSD electronic ignition system.

UNDERCARRIAGE

This Plymouth was factory-equipped with an independent front suspension and a solid rear drive axle. Braking is provided by power drums. A dual exhaust system with cut-outs exits at the rear.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS

A matching 1959 Glass Magic boat (AutoHunter auction #51923976) with a trailer is available from the same selling dealer at an additional cost. They charge a $500 documentation fee in addition to the selling price of the vehicle.

@sgoeser – Lube the hinges! ...

We left that in there showing we don’t hide anything. Sure we could have cut the noise out, but anyone that has a classic car knows that the doors are heavy and they do make noise opening and closing.
