This 1978 Chevrolet Corvette 25th Anniversary Edition is an 89k-mile original car that has been mechanically refreshed with recent replacement of the alternator, braking system, and clutch. It is powered by a 350ci V8 paired with a 4-speed manual transmission and came factory-equipped with air conditioning, a CB radio, and a center console along with vinyl bucket seating. Finished in two-tone silver metallic, this C3 is located in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, and is now offered with a clean Missouri title in the seller’s name.
The body is finished in two-tone Silver Metallic over Charcoal and features include signature C3 pop-up headlamps, bumper guards, and removable T-tops. 25th Anniversary special logos are present on the front fenders and in the rear are quad taillamps with Corvette badging and dual exhaust with performance mufflers.
Factory 15” aluminum wheels are wrapped in BFGoodrich Radial T/A raised-white-letter tires, and handling is managed by 4-wheel disc brakes and power steering. The master cylinder and brake calipers have been recently replaced.
The interior is trimmed in light gray vinyl over matching carpet and equipment consists of a full-length center console, air conditioning and heater, hand-crank side windows, a factory AM/FM head unit, and a CB radio. The wiper motor was recently replaced.
Instrumentation is framed by a 3-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel and is made up of a 140-mph speedometer, a 7k tachometer, an analog clock, and gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and voltage. The 5-digit odometer reads approximately 90k miles, which the seller reports are original. True mileage is unknown.
The L82 350ci V8 was factory-rated at 220 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque when new, and it is equipped with a 4-barrel carburetor and aluminum intake manifold. Recent maintenance includes the replacement of the upper radiator hose and the alternator. Power is transferred to the rear wheels via a close-ratio 4-speed manual transmission that benefits from a new clutch.
Additional photos showing the underside are available in the gallery.
The sale includes a never-installed set of ball joints and tie-rod ends.

@Jarhead If I buy the car, how long could you hold it for me (I'm talking about a only few days). Just to give me the time to set the transport to Europe.

@SDKID – The uninstalled parts mentioned. Why were they never installed? Does the car have front end problems? If yes, how extensive? ...
There’s nothing wrong with the front end. The parts are ones I haven’t got to. I have five classic vehicles I care for and just haven’t got around to work on the vette. I’m 70 years old and it takes me longer to do stuff. I’m selling three of my classics to buy something else I have my eye on. This 1978 is the rarest of that year. 46,776 were produced in 1978 and 12,739 with the L82 and 3,385 with the close ratio 4 speed.
