Numbers Break down like this Plymouth total car production 1965 = 728,228 units/Total Plymouth cars ordered with a 426 wedge = 4,469 units Also on the Mopar front Dodge built 2,100 cars with a 426 wedge out of the 489,065 total units built in 1965. So out of over 1 million cars built by Mopar in 1965 (1,217,293 total cars Dodge & Plymouth 1965) Only 6,569 had the 7 liter 426 wedge option box checked in 1965. Very Rare Mucle Cars! less then 1% of total production. The 426 was a pricey option in 1965.

The man that ordered this car new from the Lynch Rd plant was a scientist. William E Cooper from Batavia Illinois. Mr Copper worked at Brookhaven National Laboratory and his work decals are still on car. Mr Cooper had this car ordered new in( 1964 or 65) & kept it till the car was sold at his estate sale in 2017. I have been told but not able to verify that many of these performance auto's got in the hands of guys like Mr Cooper. Top Scientists & such. This Model Kit of what appears to be a Government agent of some sort getting in a 1965 426-s Satellite will be included with sale. Most know the Lynch rd plant story i guess. Very rare ride with much history!

Yes, this is a unrestored car so the flaws are seen. car has rust here and there as would be expected of a 60 year old unrestored auto. Some rust in trunk and around wheel wells. Floors good shape. No major rust issues underneath car but not a show car undercarriage for sure. Car is tagged and on road in driving condition. The reserve on this car is what the 426 wedge engine would cost alone. If you could find one! added a few pics of underside . sorry not the best pics

Greetings, one more question since I am not there to crawl under the car. You've given a good description and provided good pictures, but none of the undercarriage. There appears to be quite a bit of body rust. I am concerned about what lies beneath. What is the condition of the undercarriage in relation to rust/corrosion? Is there heavy frame rust such as cross-members, shock towers, rocker panels, wheel wells or any other area that may have severe and/or heavy corrosion and rust? I understand the car is not restored and this is why I ask.
