This 1981 Fiat 124 Sport Spider shows approximately 78k documented miles and six years of documented maintenance and repair work. Powered by a 2.0L inline-4 and paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox, the car has recently been refreshed with a new top, radiator, battery, rear tires, shocks and coils, halogen lamps, and a rebuilt suspension. This Spider is offered with a clean Texas title in the seller’s name.
Finished in blue, the car features a new tan soft top and halogen lights. The seller describes the condition of the exterior condition as an 8.5 out of 10, noting some scratches in the paint, small rust spots by the antenna and near the driver’s side door hinge, and some pitting front and back. The front bumper is reported to be a replacement from another Fiat.
Near new 175/70 Michelin tires have been fitted over factory 13" wheels. New brakes, shocks, and coils have also been recently installed.
The interior is finished in blue upholstery over a newly replaced black carpet and woodgrain trim. Equipment includes working heat and an aftermarket stereo head unit. One small hole is noted in the passenger seat.
Instrumentation is surrounded by a woodgrain panel in the black dash and consists of a 100-mph speedometer, turbo boost gauge, and a tachometer with a 6k-rpm redline. The odometer shows just under 78k miles and is reported to be accurate per the seller with documentation, though several inconsistencies are noted on the CARFAX. The factory turbo gauge is not functional because the car is now carbureted.
The car was originally one of approximately 700 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-4 models produced for the Fiat by Legend Industries, but the system has been removed and replaced with natural aspiration components, including a carburetor. Power is transferred to the rear wheels via a 5-speed manual gearbox, and a new aluminum radiator, battery, and oil have been added.
The suspension has been rebuilt and new shocks and coil springs have been installed. Additional undercarriage photos may be viewed in the gallery.
The sale includes the original owner's books.

1) By chance do you have the turbo system and components? 1a) No there is a turbo gage on the dash and that is about it. 2) Do your maintenance records include the retrofit from Turbo to NA? 2a) No I do not however I do have a lot of repair records that go back 6 to 8 years. A lot of work has been done on it. I recently put new rear calipers and pads on. The front pads are at 90 percent. 3) Any way to see a cold start and drive video? 3a) I will shoot the videos and figure out how to post them for you. 4) Any other issues than those disclosed in your write up? Leaks, etc? 4a) I have not seen any leaks. the only think I would disclose is that there is maybe 300 more miles on it - I have been enjoying the car with the spring we are having. 5) Any reason the front bumper was replaced? 5a) I think it was taken off only for appearances. I wanted to go b ack to stock so I found a bumper and installed it back on. 6)Any collisions/accidents? 6a) No that I am aware of - there is a carfax and it isn't reporting any either. I will work on the videos. Thank you for your interest.
