Basalt Black Metallic is as the name implies, a metallic black. In certain lights, it has bluish/purple undertones. It's named for a type of volcanic rock.

@fishing_geo – I noticed the tires were replaced at 14.8k, 17.3k and 21k miles. Also several alignments were done. Is there a problem with front end that tires get replaced about every 3k miles? Also after battery replaced the electrical system was checked out twice. Is there something wrong with the charging or electrical system? ...
Good questions. I checked in with the owner on these. The tires were replaced at 14k because they had aged out. Only one leaking tire was replaced at 17k and all 4 again at 21k due to age. The car did not have an alignment issue. The regular maintenance suggests alignments are done periodically as part of the routine maintenance schedule. Alignments are also suggested when replacing tires. As for the electrical/battery question, the owner noticed the battery was discharging and had the charging system checked and the battery replaced at a local shop. When the problem persisted with the new battery, she brought it to the Porsche dealer and the system was diagnosed with a faulty rear control module. Once the control module was replaced by a Porsche specialist in town, the problem was resolved. No current issues with tires, alignment, electrical or any other issue.

I am so glad you asked this question. I called the owner to ask about the 2 owners on the carfax. I was incorrect in the video when I mentioned it is a 1 owner car. She's known the car since it was new because the first owner was a close personal friend. It's been garaged in the same building she lives in since new. When the first owner passed away she purchased the car. I am sorry to have listed incorrect information about the ownership of the car. The way she spoke about the car always being garaged and serviced led to my incorrect assumption that she was the owner since new. Both the first and second owners loved owning the car and have looked after it along the way.
