This 1961 Buick Electra 225 is a partially-restored and mechanically-sorted convertible with a retractable cloth soft top, factory air conditioning, a recently replaced carburetor, a new alternator, and a restored brass radiator. The car is powered by its original 401ci Nailhead V8 paired with a 2-speed turbine-drive automatic transmission. Finished in Rio Red with a black top over a red vinyl interior, this "deuce and a quarter" is now offered with a clear Texas title in the seller’s name.
The body was professionally repainted in Rio Red (V), with emphasis on a factory-original appearance. Exterior features include chrome bumpers and trim, as well as it's signature "ventiports" on each front fender. Photos show imperfections on various panels.
Factory 14” color-matched steel wheels with full covers and Buick center insignias are wrapped in Hankook tires of unknown age.
The interior wears red vinyl with matching door panels and carpet and a body-colored dash. Factory-installed amenities include power windows and air conditioning, though the latter needs a compressor in order to function. The seller indicates that the steering column was refurbished and lap belts were added to accommodate seating for six. Photos show cracking in the dash and some scuffing on and holes in the rear seat upholstery.
Instrumentation is framed by a 2-spoke steering wheel and consists of a horizontal 120-mph speedometer, a fuel gauge, and warning lights for other functions. The 5-digit mechanical odometer shows just over 200 miles, though the seller reports it has rolled. True chassis mileage is unknown.
The matching-numbers 401ci Nailhead V8 was factory-rated at 325 horsepower and 445 lb-ft of torque when new, and it is fitted with a chrome-finished air cleaner, restored brass radiator, and replacement carburetor and alternator. Power is transferred to the rear wheels via a 2-speed turbine-drive automatic transmission with a column-mounted shift lever. Maintenance is reportedly up to date.
Additional photos of the undercarriage are provided in the gallery.

@Cloudtech – How's the fit and function with the top? ...
The top works but is slow and I can't guarantee how long it will work or how it would do in heavy rain.
How's the fit and function with the top?
