This 1931 Ford Model A Sport Coupe was purchased by the seller’s father in Phoenix, Arizona 30 years ago, and has remained with the family ever since. The 200.5ci inline-4 was running when the car was put into storage in Montana, and the car is shifted manually by way of more conventional standard driving controls than are in the Model T. This example has predominantly been used for parades over the past 20 years and is now offered with a clear Montana title in the seller’s name.
Finished in tan with black fenders and side steps, the car’s paint is reported to be in excellent condition, and it is complemented by a refreshed convertible top which shows no significant signs of wear. Exterior features include the removable convertible top, an uncovered spare tire, stainless steel radiator trim with black mesh grille, and louvered hood panels.
Steel wire-spoke wheels are finished in black with chrome center caps and fitted with whitewall tires. Braking systems were updated in 1927 with the release of Model A, and this example has drums at all four corners.
The Model A was the first of Ford’s cars to utilize a modern layout for brake, throttle, and transmission controls. The interior of this car is trimmed in black leather-wrapped steering wheel and black leather upholstery as well as a fuel level gauge and ignition key slot in the center of the dash. A rumble seat is equipped in the rear.
Actual mileage on the car is unknown, however, usage is minimal and relegated for local parades.
Power is delivered by a 200.5ci inline-4 cylinder factory rated at 40hp and shifted by way of unsynchronized 3-speed manual transmission with reverse. The engine is fed by a cowl-mounted fuel tank and gravity-fed carburetor. The seller reports that the car was running when placed into storage in Montana.

Hi. When was the last time the car was running and driven? And/or when was it put in storage in MT? Not answering simple questions such as these will prevent us from submitting a bid. Thank you
@Andy31 – I take it it’s not reached it’s reserve you at $6500 ...
As is common practice in the auction format, sellers do not reveal the reserve.
