This custom 1965 Shelby Cobra is a kit-based replica from Factory Five Racing that was completed in 2009 by the seller and features dual racing stripes, side pipe exhausts, a rollbar, and a faux wood-trimmed dash and steering wheel. It is powered by a Fox Body Mustang-sourced 302ci V8 that is upgraded with Roush heads and paired with a 4-speed manual transmission. Finished in red with white stripes over a black vinyl interior, this Cobra replica is now offered with a clear Arizona title in the seller’s name.
This Cobra replica is painted red with dual white racing stripes, and it was assembled between 2006 and 2009 by the seller. The kit itself was sourced from Factory Five Racing under the Mark 111 Roadster model name and the car weighs in at 2,110 pounds. Exterior features include chrome-rimmed headlamps, a hood scoop, side pipe exhausts, and a black tubular rollbar behind the driver seat.
Aftermarket machined aluminum wheels are wrapped in tires with good remaining tread life.
The interior is fitted with black vinyl bucket seats that were upholstered as part of the build, with matching black carpeting. The dash is comprised of a gloss faux woodgrain instrument panel with a lower bank of controls in the center stack. A fire extinguisher has been mounted between the seats.
Instrumentation is framed by a wood-rimmed, 3-spoke steering wheel and is dominated by a white-faced 10k-rpm tachometer to the left, with accompanying gauges for speed, fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and voltage mounted toward the center of the dash panel. The digital odometer reads 1,900 miles, which are actual miles on the build since it was completed in 2009.
The 302ci V8 was sourced from a 1989 Ford Mustang drag car and features performance Roush heads. True mileage on the engine is unknown. Power is transferred to the rear wheels via a 6-speed manual transmission and a floor-mounted shift lever.

@Tractorguy – Any more information on the engine? Is it stock 1989 with new heads ? Rebuilt when put in car ? Million miles? ...
Tractorguy I don’t know what’s in the engine. I didn’t take it apart. I did take the carburetor off when I first got it because I had never seen anything like that before. It’s big. It’s a Demon, mighty D. The heads are not stock because they have the word ROUSH on the undersides and the engine is carbureted, not injected. The odometer in the cobra is the one I took out oof the drag car. Now it reads 11124. I believe I’ve driven it less tat 2000 miles.
