This 1971 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme convertible is from the final year of the second generation and is finished in factory-offered Bamboo Cream over a Saddle Tan (979) interior. Powered by its original numbers-matching Oldsmobile 350ci Rocket V8, the transmission is a Turbo-Hydramatic three-speed, and a Flowmaster dual exhaust is also fitted. The seller lists replacement of the convertible top last year, but much else is believed to remain original, with an odometer reading of just 29,035 miles.
Oldsmobile Bamboo Cream (81) is said to be the factory color of this Cutlass Supreme and the finish on display is believed to be original. Super Stock wheels are color-matched to the body including the spare, while the cloth beige convertible top offers mild contrast against the body. Chrome bumpers show little in the way of pitting, Oldsmobile lettering appears on the trunk lid, and Cutlass badges are fixed to the front fenders.
Dual exhaust tips from the Flowmaster system are just barely visible beneath the rear bumper.
Interior occupants are surrounded by Saddle Tan upholstery which lines the seats, and door panels with matching materials used for the dash and carpet. The instrument panel retains its wood appliqué trim and there are just three gauges, including a speedometer, clock, and fuel level indicator, while warning lights alert the driver to problems with the brakes, oil pressure, or charging system. The front bench seat can be divided by a center armrest and the seller mentions recently repaired factory-installed air conditioning with controls just below the gauge cluster.
A modern head unit with a vintage appearance is installed, which supports Bluetooth, iPod, and auxiliary inputs.
Up front sits an Oldsmobile 350ci Rocket V8 that is described as the original and numbers-matching unit. Still finished in what factory-applied gold paint, the Oldsmobile 350 developed between 160 and 200 horsepower for the 1972 model year depending on equipment like a dual exhaust system. It is mated to a Turbo-Hydramatic three-speed automatic and is said to start with ease and run well but with a minor oil leak that has began to drip. Shocks are noted as having been replaced along with ignition system components.
A Flowmaster dual exhaust system is visible from beneath.
