This 2008 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 is one of 8,583 produced for its model year and has been with the seller for 13 years, since it had 650 miles. Powered by a supercharged 5.4-liter Ford V8 developing 500 horsepower and 480 pound-feet of torque, numerous modifications have been performed, and the odometer reading of 21,750 miles is said to be original. Changes from stock include aftermarket wheels, a Borla cat-back exhaust system with cutouts, and an upgraded sound system to name a few. This Shelby GT500 is offered on a clean California title in the seller's name.
Of the 8,583 Shelby GT500 Mustangs produced for 2008, just 1,100 of them left the factory in the Ebony on black color scheme exhibited here. Shortly after purchase, the original wheels were replaced with a set of 20" by 9" and 20" by 10" Maya MRK Mach set finished in black, while the custom orange stripes and flames were also added by a specialist. Tires are a set of Goodyear F1s from the end of 2017. The hood features vents and is lifted by a Steeda Autosports billet strut kit.
Headlights are surrounded by multi-color LED rings which create a halo appearance. Exhaust tips for the Borla free-flow cat-back system are visible beneath the rear bumper, while the rear glass is shrouded by louvers.
The interior is home to black bucket seats which show wear on the entry-side bolsters of the driver's that is commensurate with the odometer reading. A 6,000-rpm tachometer, 160-mph speedometer, and an array of four other gauges for monitoring boost, fuel, coolant temperature, and oil pressure make up the instrument cluster.
The infotainment system consists of Ford's DVD-based navigation system along with a Clarion equalizer and amp, and a Polk Audio enclosure housing dual subwoofers fitted in the trunk.
2007 through 2009 Shelby GT500 used the four-valve version of Ford's 5.4-liter Modular V8 with forced induction provided by an Eaton M122H Roots-style supercharger. Factory output was rated at 500 horsepower at 6,000 rpm with 480 pound-feet of torque peaking at 4,500. That motivation is sent to the rear axle via a Tremec TR6060 6-speed manual transmission and is kept in check by a traction control system. The seller estimates a total of $10,000 having been spent on this GT500 in the form of upgrades and modifications. Additional uninstalled items included with the sale are a Metco Motorsports supercharger pulley and idler kit, and a JLT carbon fiber air intake.
The seller confirms lifetime California use and says this GT500 was not driven in inclement weather. Photos of the vehicle on a lift reveal a clean undercarriage free of corrosion and the Borla exhaust with cutouts that dump just before the center X-pipe.

Carfax has been added. Adding a few more detail shots as to the minor flaws on front. Besides one small blemish on the lower front lip and a tiny bit of road rash from normal driving (captured in the pics I am adding), this car is exceptional. These pictures are visible in the previously posted pics on the lift, I mainly want to specifically address them as the previous bidder requested.

@sassy – Seller, please give a rundown on the paint job. Where are the rock chips, door dings, dents, or any other blemishes on the body. Can you also please provide the carfax. Thank you ...
Thanks for the inquiry. I have requested @autohunter add the Carfax. The paint condition is very good on the Shelby. There are no dings or dents and any scratches are on underneath the front air dam (ie light driveway entry scrapes).
