This 1975 Mercedes-Benz 240D is a late-model W115 chassis powered by a 2.4-liter OM616 OHC diesel straight-four mated to a 4-speed automatic. Finished in Colorado Beige over a Tobacco interior, the car is described as a highly-original example with no modifications in sight that is accompanied by a stack of records and services invoices. Manufactured in November of 1975, a Protect-O-Plate bearing the original owner's name and address is also included with the car.
Colorado Beige exterior paint appears consistent but with light areas of fading and oxidation on horizontal body panels. Elongated DOT-spec impact-resistant bumpers denote this 240D as a US market example, with the rear bumper showing damage from a previous impact. Factory wheels wear a set of color-matched hubcaps with some peeling and other blemishes present on two out of four. Tires are a set of Kelly Edge A/S. Front indicator lenses show crazing while the tail lamps are a version of the Mercedes-Benz self-cleaning design.

Tobacco upholstery surrounds interior occupants and extends to the door panels. The radio is a factory-installed Becker Europa, and the engine is started and stopped via a knob below the gauge cluster. A single large crack is visible on the dash stretching from the center air vent to just above the climate controls.
The trunk contains a full-size spare tire and is lined with a rubber mat which contains a few cracks.
A factory rating of 64 horsepower is on tap courtesy of the 2.4-liter OM616 OHC four-cylinder diesel engine. An optional 4-speed automatic transmission routes power to the rear axle. A stack of service records and repair invoices accompanies the car detailing recent and historical maintenance efforts.
Undercarriage photos show isolated areas of surface corrosion on jack points, suspension components, and the spare tire well. Evidence of oil leaks is visible beneath the engine and around the rear differential.
A stamped Protect-O-Plate displaying the original owner's name and address, along with the production date and exterior color of the car is included.
