Vehicle Story

This Ford Roadster is built on a steel frame with a fiberglass body. Finished in dark green with black and tan interior, it's powered by a V6 Chevrolet engine with a 4-speed manual transmission. Features include spoke wheels, leaf spring suspension, and a gas tank disguised as a leather trunk. Titled as a 1926 Ford, this roadster is offered on a clean Iowa title in the seller's name.

The body is finished in dark metallic green, with the frame finished in gloss black. The engine compartment is fully enclosed and the center section of the lift-off hood has been cut out to allow for clearance of the engine air intake scoops. The windshield is angled back further compared to stock and the door latches have been relocated to the inside of the doors. The gas tank is mounted behind the body and wrapped in simulated leather, giving it the appearance of a trunk. Dual side view mirrors are fixed to the windshield posts and the custom pinstriping is featured on the grille shell.

A set of wire-spoke wheels have been installed, finished in tan with chrome center caps with Excelsior Racing replica tires. The frame has been fully boxed for strength and the suspension utilizes transverse-mounted leaf springs, both front, and rear; stopping power is provided by drum brakes on all four corners.

The interior features black bucket seats with gray carpeting and tan interior panels. A black shift lever for the 4-speed transmission is mounted to the transmission tunnel and equipped with a white shift knob and an emergency brake lever is mounted between the seats.

Instrumentation includes a 180-mph speedometer and 8k rpm tachometer, mounted in the center of the dash. Gauges for oil pressure and water temperature are mounted to the left, while units for voltage and fuel are mounted to the right. The 4-spoke wheel features a polished center with black ring, and controls for the turn signals are mounted to the steering column. The odometer reads 134 miles, which are believed to be actual mileage since the build was completed per the seller, 50 of which have been added in the 5 years of their ownership.

The roadster is powered by a Chevrolet V6 engine, complete with dual throttle bodies for the fuel injection, braided spark plug wires, and an aluminum radiator. A 4-speed manual transmission transfers power to the rear wheels.

The roadster is titled as a 1926 Ford with a state-issued VIN from Idaho inside the driver's side door jam. Located in Milford, Iowa it is now offered for sale on a clean Iowa title in the sellers name
