This 1927 Ford Model T is a mechanically-sorted and rust-free roadster pickup that has been with the seller for four years. It is powered by a rebuilt 177ci inline-four running a water pump and a distributor, paired with a 2-speed planetary-gear transmission. The steering column was replaced during the seller's ownership and a front-end rebuild was also carried out. Other items of note include whitewall tires, wire wheels, and a black vinyl top. This Model T is offered with many extra parts, a Ford service manual, and a clear Arkansas title in the seller’s name.
The rust-free body was refinished in red as part of a restoration under prior ownership, and is capped with a black vinyl top featuring a rear window. The seller describes scratches and other flaws in the paint which do not appear in photographs. The bed was also previously refurbished, a process which included installation of replacement wood planks, while a drop-down tailgate with color-matched chain retention hardware is fitted.
Wire wheels are painted to match the body and have whitewall tires mounted on them. A spare wheel and tire are also included.
Front-hinged doors open up to a reupholstered interior, which is fitted with a black vinyl bench seat matched by black wood flooring. The metal dash is color-matched in red, and a replaced steering column connects to a four-spoke wheel.
Instrumentation consists of a single voltage meter.
The 177ci inline-four was rebuilt under previous ownership and features a water pump and distributor. The electrical system is a six-volt setup, and the seller notes improved drivability thanks to the distributor and the elimination of the need for the driver to advance spark manually. Power is transferred to the rear wheels by way of a 2-speed planetary-gear transmission.
Additional photos showing the underside are available in the gallery.
The sale includes many parts that go with the vehicle such as rear brake linings, a new windshield gasket, water pump removal parts, along with a new electric switch to enable use of a turn signal set. A spare wheel and tire (with inner tube and liner) are included, as well as an air cleaner for the carburetor and an official Ford service manual.
