Good morning! I think you’d be fine to drive the car home. With that being said, keep your expectations realistic. At the end of the day you’re buying a 65 year old car that hasn’t, most likely, seen a cross country trip in its whole life. Not to down talk the car, it’s a great runner, I just know in my world shit can happen and usually does. The car does have a brand new PA State inspection that I just had done. We’re a very strict state when it comes to cars so I encourage you to google what all is involved in that. Thank you!
