This 1984 Fiat 2000 Pininfarina Spider boasts a reupholstered two-tone vinyl interior, four-wheel disc brakes, and newer mesh-style alloy wheels. According to data from Pininfarina production records, this roadster was one of 2,577 vehicles produced for the 1984 model year and this example is powered by a 2.0-liter inline-four paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. Finished in yellow over a black and yellow diamond-stitched custom interior, this Spider is now offered with a clean CARFAX report and a clear Maryland title in the seller’s name.
With design led by Pininfarina and styling by Tom Tjaarda, the Fiat Spider dates back to 1966 and production ran through 1985. This example is one of 2,577 produced for the 1984 model year. The yellow paint offsets a contrasting black manually-operated retractable top with a plastic rear window. The front and rear bumpers are designed with combination chrome and rubber composition, while the window surrounds, rocker panel moldings and other decorative accents come in bright finishes. Ferrari emblems have been added to the front fenders and the top of the trunk lid. There is a damaged area noted at the left of the rear license plate per the seller.
Aftermarket BBS-style aluminum wheels are wrapped in older tires that are due for replacement, and the same is said of the four-wheel disc brakes.
The interior is trimmed in a two-tone aesthetic and equipped with reupholstered black vinyl diamond-stitched bucket seats with yellow accent piping and black door panels and carpeting. Custom add-ons include a Momo three-spoke steering wheel with a Ferrari center hub, a leather shift boot, and a yellow-finished dash face. The seller has outlined a few aspects of the interior that require attention, including slow-operating power windows and windshield wipers, a missing under-dash panel below the steering wheel, damage to the trim below the glove compartment, and cosmetic wear on the shift knob and shift boot. In addition, the vehicle does not have a radio.
Gauges are framed in a yellow surround and consist of an 85-mph speedometer, 8,000-rpm tachometer, and readouts for fuel level, oil pressure, and coolant temperature. The mechanical odometer reads over 11k miles, but it has rolled and true mileage is in excess of 111k.
The 2.0-liter (1,995cc) inline-four features twin cams and fuel injection. Power is transferred to the rear wheels via a 5-speed manual transmission.
Photos showing the undercarriage are available in the carousel.
The CARFAX report shows no history of accidents or damage and documents New York, Maryland, and Delaware registration through 2016.

@Snowball – Does this vehicle run? ...
Yes - the only issue is the breaks are a bit spongy but otherwise it rides great.

All photos were taken mid-May of this year. The car drives great; only issue is the brakes are a bit spongy. There is a very small horizontal crack just to the left of the rear license plate which you can see if you zoom in on that photo which is included with the listing.
Is it currently drivable and where is the damage to the left of the rear license plate? How recent are the photos? Thanks
