For those not aware of a 64.5 K Code mustang. K code was the engine designation for the 289 Hypo (high performance) engine. This is not regular A code car. the K code has 271 HP. The A code (non Hypo) has 225 Hp. The emblem on my car shows the "high performance" for the K code. The regular 289 A code does not show "high performance" on the side emblem. The 289 Hypo is the same engine in the GT350, but the GT350 Hp was bumped to 306, instead of 271 Hp.
BID: $17,150
Worthy to note, these expensive Sanderson headers are stainless steel and as you can in the pic's (top side & bottom side), they won't rust. They will continue to maintain the SS clean look.
Here are more pix of the underside of the car.... As you can see, everything is super clean, tight and spotless.
@Dtangen. Ok, I will give you a shout.
I can meet you there tomorrow around 4? You can call me at 310 938 6841 to discuss
@naptown. Here is the picture of the distributor. It is indeed the original points and condenser setup... @Dtangen. The car is in a clean climate controlled hanger at Torrance Airport. Sure, I can show it anytime after 3pm this week, or over the weekend.
I live in Redondo Beach let me know if I can see the car Danny
yeah, the restoration is top notch. About as clean as it gets, especially in the engine compartment. I believe it is points, condenser, but I will check later today to verify.
Good day to you! Whoever did the refresh, buy looking at the picks, it looks very clean. I trust it still maintains the original distributor, points and condenser vs Eletronic HEI ?
