This 1973 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme Colonnade Coupe is a first-year fourth-generation example that was purchased by the seller with intentions of turning it into a driver, who performed extensive maintenance before deciding it was too nice to subject to regular use. Servicing carried out by the seller includes replacement of the Rocket 350 V8's head gaskets, water pump, radiator, alternator, timing mechanism including chain and sprocket, ignition components, rebuilding of the Quadrajet carburetor, and more. A dual exhaust system from the manifolds back is also fitted along with 17" wheels. This 1973 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme is offered with the owner's books, original Rallye wheels and a clear title in the seller's name.
The 1973 model year marked the debut of the Colonnade body style and this Cutlass Supreme is finished in factory-offered Moss Green Poly-colored paint. The top is finished in vinyl and features Cutlass Supreme badging ahead of the rear windows, while Cutlass Supreme lettering and faux louvers are found on the aft portions of the front fenders. Front and rear bumpers exhibit a reflective quality and are protected by overriders.
Wheels are a 17" set of aftermarket items wrapped in tires mounted during the seller's ownership period.
Occupants are surrounded by Chamois Gold interior upholstery on the font and rear seats. The driver and front occupants are separated by an optional center armrest and a center storage console mounted on the floor. The Hydra-Matic 3-speed is operated by a column-mounted shift lever, and although equipment includes air conditioning with a functional compressor and charged refrigerant, the system does not blow cold air. The levers on the climate control panel are also said to be stuck while cruise control is inoperative with parts removed and retained.
The Rallye gauge package is present with a 120-mph speedometer and needles for coolant temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level housed in a single dial beside it.
The engine is Oldsmobile's 350ci Rocket V8 which was rated at 200 horsepower at 4,400 rpm with 300 pound-feet of torque at 3,200 when equipped with a dual exhaust. The engine is mated to a Hydra-Matic 3-speed and has been treated replacement of its head gaskets, water pump, radiator, battery, alternator, and timing mechanism including the sprocket and chain during the seller's ownership. Additional replaced parts include ignition system components, belts, and hoses. The exhaust system is a true dual setup which runs from the stock cast iron manifolds back and the Quadrajet four-barrel carb has been rebuilt.
Zeibart undercoating was applied when new per the seller. Additional photos showing the underside are available in the gallery.
The owner's books and the stock Rallye wheels will go with the car, and a video is available for viewing below.
