This 1964 Chevrolet Chevy II Nova SS has been with the seller's family for 34 years and was restored using genuine parts on a rust-free body in 1987. Reported to be a California car since new, the seller says it has been exclusively garage-stored since 1990 with a repaint performed in 2000. Factory options include bucket seats, a push-button radio, and a padded dashboard. Power is delivered by a matching-numbers 194ci inline-six paired with a 2-speed PowerGlide automatic transmission, and the seller reports that the drivetrain is sorted and in good working order. Finished in burgundy over a Fawn vinyl interior, this first-year Chevy II Nova SS is offered on a clear Iowa title in the seller’s name.
This Nova was constructed during the third week of March 1964 in Norwood, Ohio as a true SS-trim hardtop two-door in Meadow Green (905), and received a custom burgundy respray in 2000. The rust-free body was sandblasted, followed by a repaint of each panel individually the glass removed, and a hardware upgrade to grade 8 steel. Glass seals are reported to be new or like new, and the seller reports recent touch-up work to the lower edge of driver's door and trunk. This Nova displays chrome finishes for the bumpers, grille surround, door handles, driver sideview mirror, and SS badging on the front fenders.
Factory 14” steel wheels with original chrome SS hubcaps are wrapped in new tires per the seller.
Professionally reupholstered Fawn (718) vinyl fold-forward bucket seats with custom top stitching and high-grade materials retain original SS logos in the backrests. The headliner is reported to be original and there are matching door panels, a padded dashboard, and brown carpeting. Amenities include a push-button radio, an ash tray, a glove compartment, and a chrome center console.
The gauge cluster sits forward of the factory two-spoke steering wheel design and consists of a 120-mph speedometer, a readout for fuel level, and warning lights for other vehicle systems. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows approximately 76k miles, but true chassis mileage is unknown.
The matching-numbers 194ci inline-six is original to the car and offered motivation in the form of 120 horsepower at 4,400 rpm and 177 pound-feet of torque at 2,400 when new when fueled by a single-barrel Rochester carburetor. A chrome-topped air cleaner bears 194ci decals and power is negotiated to the rear wheels by a 2-speed M35 PowerGlide automatic transmission with a floor-mounted shift lever. The seller describes full roadworthiness.

Rear setup 1970 10 bolt posi, from cousins street racer., that used to run a 10 mile country county road circle, for pink slips ; never lost, that car’s engine smoked out, now that’s rearend now in 64SS. Also new multi band leaf springs, shackles and bushings back there too, with reinforcement high density spacers: the power glide was rebuilt years ago by them too., so that should be good to go, too. Just so you know what she is setup to be able to do.
BID: $7,500
@DiPenta – PS or PB? ...
Thanks for asking; she is stock, as she came, no PS or PB. Certainly can be added.
