This 1969 Ford F100 Ranger is a fifth-generation F-Series that has been with the seller since early 2020, a period of time in which it was brought back from an abandoned, engineless state to its current condition. Treated to an extensive list of replaced parts, power comes from a rebuilt 390ci FE V8 paired to a 3-speed manual with column shift, and the interior was largely rebuilt with a new dash, instrument panel, and a reupholstered bench seat, while a Vintage Air A/C system is also present. Finished in Lunar Green and Wimbledon White over a matching interior, this F100 Ranger passed state inspection in April, and is offered on a clear Texas title in the seller's name.
The factory-offered Lunar Green and Wimbledon White paint is original and the resulting patina has been treated with Meguiar's products to maintain its appearance. 15" wheels wear a set of period-correct covers and are wrapped in new 255/60 Hercules tires. First sold at McMorris Ford of Austin, Texas, the rear diamond-plated bumper was dealer-installed and bears the dealership name below the tailgate. The bed is finished in matching Lunar Green paint and displays evidence of previous use. A dent is pictured on the side of the bed just behind the passenger door.
The grille bears a Ranger badge, and Ranger scripts are affixed to the rear corners of the bed. Some exterior brightwork and badging is said to have been replaced. A new spare tire is mounted beneath the bed.
The exterior color scheme is continued within the cabin which contains the original bench seat. The seat is described as having been reupholstered using heavy-gauge soft vinyl in the original style, with matching piping and original chrome buttons. Door panels are unique to Ranger trim and are said to be new, along with factory-correct loop-style carpeting, and a replaced dash. A block-off panel sits where a radio could be mounted within the instrument panel, and occupants are treated to heating and air conditioning courtesy of a Vintage Air system mounted beneath the dash.
Ahead of a factory three-spoke steering wheel is a horizontal speedometer surrounded by smaller needles for coolant and oil temperature, fuel level, and oil pressure. The instrument panel is noted as having been replaced, along with its illumination, the ignition switch, light switch, courtesy lighting, and dome light.
The original engine and transmission were gone when the seller purchased this F100, and in its place sits a Ford 390ci FE V8 fueled by a Holley 4bbl mated to a 3-speed manual operated by column shift, which routes power through a rear axle running 3.55:1 gearing and a new driveshaft and U-joints. Drum brakes remain present all around, but the tires are upsized in terms of width for a smoother ride. The seller lists a lengthy accumulation of new parts which include a heavy-duty alternator, battery, and starter, a custom radiator and new hoses, along with a water pump, fan belt, dual brake master cylinder, windshield washing system, fuel tank and associated components, and more.
The 390 itself has been completely rebuilt and runs a performance cam and stainless steel headers which feed a stainless steel dual exhaust system. The seller describes areas of the underside where dealer-applied rust-inhibiting undercoating remains in place, and adds that the shocks have been replaced.
