This 1964 Chevrolet Impala hardtop coupe is described by the seller as an SS tribute with power coming from a 350ci small-block mated to a 3-speed automatic. Fitted with SS badging on the front fenders, rear quarters, trunk lid, and interior door panels, a dual exhaust system with cutouts is fitted, while other modifications include a modern Pioneer head unit, an array of additional gauges, Cragar wheels, and more. Finished in Silver Blue Poly over a white and Aqua cabin, the seller also lists a host of replaced parts, and this final-year third-generation Chevrolet Impala is offered on a clear Florida title in the seller's name.
1964 was the final model year of the third generation Impala and brought with it updated styling in the form of softened lines. This example is summarized as an SS tribute by the seller with appropriate badging affixed to the front fenders, rear quarters, and trunk lid. Finished in a coat of factory-offered Silver Blue Poly with a matching hardtop, the body is divided by chrome brightwork, and wheels are a set of Cragar items wrapped in modern tires.
A dual exhaust featuring cutouts was recently installed, with tailpipes emptying aft of the rear wheels.
White interior upholstery is contrasted by replaced Aqua carpeting which lines the floor and lower portions of the door panels. In addition to the carpeting, the matching dash pad is also described as having been replaced, along with various rubber seals and felt pieces. A factory-style radio remains fitted within the turned aluminum instrument panel while a modern Pioneer head unit is installed in the glove compartment. The front seats are divided by a matching Aqua center console with upholsters and an SS badge. SS badges also appear on the door panels, and the instrument panel is finished in the body color.
The gauge cluster has been modified with white-faced dials and houses a horizontal 120-mph speedometer, fuel gauge, and clock, along with indicator lights for coolant temperature, oil, and the charging system. An additional set of four gauges monitoring oil pressure, coolant temperature, amperage, and vacuum pressure are mounted below the radio, while a tachometer is secured to the steering column with a hose clamp. The trunk contains matching upholstery and carpeting. The odometer shows under 46,000 miles, but true chassis mileage is not known.
The seller describes the engine as a 350ci small-block, which sits below an Edelbrock air cleaner within the engine bay. A 3-speed automatic translates power to the rear end and stopping power comes courtesy of front disc brakes and a power hydraulic booster per the seller. The engine is bolted to a dual exhaust which features cutouts and a set of tailpipes that dump behind the rear wheels. The seller reports that there are approximately 2,000 miles on the drivetrain.
Photos of the undercarriage can be viewed in the image carousel and show the aforementioned exhaust system.

HenryKSmith Has there been any engine work? Is it a stock 350? Any idea of horsepower?
Can you clarify what is meant by “SS tribute” in the description please?

@Bandit07 – Any rust? ...
Hi No rust. Thanks
@cheapmick – will the exhaust pass inspection ...
Hi Not sue, I’m in florida and they don’t require exhaust inspection. You may want to see if it’s required for “ antique cars “registered in your state. Thanks.
@Gunner54 – Is the car more of a survivor or was there a restoration of the frame/undercarriage? Does the car leak any fluids? How would score the paint on a scale of 1 to 10? ...
Hi No rust, clean under carriage and no leaks. Car is solid , straight and runs great.! The paint on this car is beautiful and in great shape. I’d give it an 8. The car is a real head turned and super fun to drive.
