@eddied70 – @Phudkins Hello. Will you please give more details on the overall condition of your Cutlass? I would like to know if the car has been driven regularly, or has it been mostly sitting in storage for a long period of time? Outside of the age of the tires, would you feel comfortable driving it for multiple hours across state lines? I appreciate your time. Thank you, Ed D. ...

I’m not sure what being tagged means?
@4SFED – I was 16 in 1970 when I acquired my '65 Old Gutless ragtop. It was an awesome car, I drove it about five years, then gave it to my brother in 1975, when I got stationed in the Philippines and couldn't take it with me. It had a glass backwindow but the canvas ragtop had a bit of a leak along the back lower seam so when it rained, rainwater would drip into the trunk area. My brother wrote to me during my overeas tour saying that he was driving it one evening towards Hubbleton from Schmittville when he heard a loud scraping noise and a thud as he went over the Crawfish River bridge, and looking in the rearview mirror he saw sparks flying on the road receding in the distance. He slowed down a bit but didn't feel like he ran over anything, but a minute later the car just died and wouldn't start again. He was curious about the noise and sparks so he walked back a few hundred feet where he found the gas tank laying in the road. That leaky seam let the rainwater collect in the trunk and over the years the rust had taken out the tank straps! ...
No leaks, tears but I do have a brother that lives in the clouds. “What, me worry.”

@Phudkins – The car has been driven regularly around town and extensively every year for Hot August Nights. This year was a 10 day event taking place in Reno, Sparks and Virginia City? I’ve wrapped the fuel line and put an auxiliary booster pump for the fuel. At 100 degrees these engines need help with the heat. Over the years I’ve done a lot of maintenance and I’m comfortable driving the car. ...
Thank you very much. I really appreciate the insight.
Wasn’t listed but this is an original black plated California cruiser
@4SFED – Muffler and bearings replaced in 2001 - that's awesome ...
Thanks for the comment. The car gets thumbs up everywhere
