Reserve Removed: 1976 Chevrolet Corvette L82

This 1976 Corvette L82 coupe is one of 5,720 produced during the 1976 model year and has been with the seller for about two years. Powered by a refreshed L82 350ci V8 mated to an automatic transmission, recent updates commissioned by the seller include all new tires, L82 emblems, seat belts, seat back covers, and an aftermarket stereo. Additional standard and optional equipment consists of bucket seats, a tachometer, power disc brakes, power steering, heater/defroster, air conditioning, telescopic steering column, and power windows. This C3 Corvette is offered for sale with service history from the current and previous owners as well as a clear Michigan title in the seller's name.

A red respray was applied in February of 2020, and this example is fitted with removable T-top style roof panels, and a hood with non-functional cowl induction only used in 1976. The seller notes that only the exterior of the car was painted, and points out that there are a few minor nicks on the driver's door.

Handling is managed by power steering and recently serviced power brakes and ball joints. New 225/70 Cooper Cobra GT tires were added in September 2019, and these are fitted over 15" steel wheels and have rolled roughly 250 miles.

The interior is finished in black vinyl upholstery with matching door panels, carpeting, dash, and center console. A Bluetooth-equipped aftermarket stereo has been installed along with all new seat belts, seat back covers, door handles, tachometer circuit board, wiper, washer, and headlight switches, and power window regulators. Heat, air conditioning, and automatic door locks are not working currently. 

Instruments are reported to be functional aside from the dash clock, they consist of a 7k-rpm tachometer and 160-mph speedometer located behind the steering wheel, as well as coolant temperature, battery amperage, oil pressure, and fuel level gauges, and an analog clock found in the center stack. The odometer is reported to show approximately 114,000 miles, 500 of which were added over 2 years of ownership by the seller. 

Under the hood lies a recently rebuilt L82 optioned 350ci V8 which was factory rated at 210hp and chosen over the standard 180hp L48 plant by 5,720 buyers in 1976. Power is shifted by way of an automatic transmission which was overhauled under prior ownership in 2016 and has seen approximately 50,000 miles of use since. Matching chrome Edelbrock valve covers and air cleaner have been fitted along with a set of long tube headers in place of the factory manifolds. 

Featured underneath are a dual exhaust system and new ball joints.
