This restored 1966 Chevrolet C10 Fleetside pickup has been owned by the seller for 25 years and underwent a full professional repaint that included the installation of custom chrome wheels, a modified suspension, aftermarket gauges, reupholstered tweed seating, and replacement oak planks in the cargo bed. Power for this pickup comes from a replacement 355ci V8 that has been upgraded with Dart cylinder heads, a fuel injection kit, and an Edelbrock air cleaner, and is mated to a TH400 3-speed automatic transmission. Finished in Deep Purple Metallic over a gray tweed interior, this first-generation C10 is now offered with an uninstalled Old Air Products air conditioning kit, a billet dash bezel, and a clear Oregon title in the seller’s name.
This C10 has a longbed, fleetside body configuration and was professionally resprayed in Deep Purple Metallic as part of a restoration in 1998. It features chrome bumpers, grille, and side moldings, all of which are reported to be in good condition. The oak planks and associated hardware in the bed have been replaced, and the fuel-filler cap was relocated to the driver side interior of the bed. A Chevrolet-branded embossed tailgate drops down at the rear with chain retention links.
Aftermarket 17” chrome wheels with center caps are wrapped in new tires at all four corners. Braking is handled by front discs and rear drums, and the suspension has been customized with a lowered stance from stock.
The interior is fitted with a reupholstered gray tweed bench seat with matching custom door panels and headliner. The metal portions of the dash are color-matched to the exterior of the pickup, and a custom steering wheel from Ididit Custom Steering Columns has been added which features a half-leather wrap and a Chevrolet bowtie center emblem. Additional amenities include shaded glass, wing windows, a modern Pioneer AM/FM/CD head unit, and a Hurst shift lever. An uninstalled air conditioning kit from Old Air Products is included with the sale.
Instrumentation is comprised of a non-functional horizontal 120-mph speedometer with accompanying gauges below for coolant temperature, oil pressure, fuel level, and voltage. A white-faced aftermarket tachometer has been installed at the top of the center dash, and an aftermarket two-pod gauge bezel was added beneath the dash with readouts for other vehicle systems. The five-digit mechanical odometer reads 790 miles, which reflects the mileage driven since the drivetrain was built in 1999. True chassis mileage is unknown.
The replacement 355ci V8 has been upgraded with Dart 202 cylinder heads, a FAST (Fuel Air Spark Technology) fuel injection kit, and a chrome-finished Edelbrock air cleaner. Power is transferred to the rear wheels via a TH400 3-speed automatic transmission. The transmission is reported to roll while in "Park" on a slope, and the seller recommends inspection of the new shifter and transmission to determine the source of the issue.
The sale includes uninstalled extras such as an Old Air Products air conditioning kit and a billet dash.

@Lawmar – Gauges all work, etc. Leaks or needs? Thanks ...
All of the gauges work except the speedometer. It might be just the work gear. I have a billet insert that you can put 6 gauges in and it will fit in the original dash cluster. I just haven’t purchased any gauges. This would clean up the dash. There are no leaks anywhere. All it needs is someone to finish a couple of interior details and then have some fun.

@Wolfeman – am I correct that the paint job is 20+ years old what kind of shape is the body and paint is there any scratched rock chips or dings in the paint. O a scale 1 to 10 how would you rate the paint. Would you be willing to do a full trade or partial trade I have a 67 El Camino ,54 ford pickup ,66 ford pick up, 77 chev short box step side with Corvette tail light in the rear roll pan. some need more work then others but all have very very good bones I live in Olympia WA so the vehicles I have are close enough for you to drive up and take a look at them if you are interested in a full or partial trade. I will await you reply to my questions Thank you much for your time Wolfeman ...
Hello, The paint job is 24 years old. It is in great shape. There is a small ding the size of a pen head in the molding. I have only seen 3 small imperfections in the paint that look like a tiny bubble and a crack on the edge of the rear inner wheel well. Unfortunately I can’t trade for anything. My family and I are in the middle of moving.
