This 1987 Nissan 300ZX 2+2 is an unmodified two-door sports hatchback that was originally sold on January 22, 1988 in El Dorado, Arkansas which has been driven 66k miles since. Accompanied by removable roof panels, aluminum wheels, and an AM/FM stereo, power comes from a naturally-aspirated 3.0-liter SOHC, 12-valve VG30E V6 paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. The seller has owned it for 15 years and reports recent replacement of the distributor cap, rotor, spark plugs, and spark plug wires. Finished in dark red metallic over a burgundy cloth interior, this Z31 300ZX is offered with a clean CARFAX report and on a clear Arkansas title in the owner's name.
The Z31 chassis was first introduced in Japan in 1983 and underwent various aesthetic updates leading up to the 1987 model year. This example is painted dark red metallic (329) and is reported to have been garage-kept, primarily stored for the last six years as the owner was not able to drive. The body is believed to have been resprayed at one point, and currently shows fading at the rear and mismatching in other areas. Items of note include pop-up headlamps, fog lamps, removable roof panels, and a hatch-mounted rear wiper.
Factory 15” machined aluminum wheels have Z-logo center caps. The seller states that the rear shocks have been replaced.
This Z31 is configured in a 2+2 seating layout with original burgundy cloth upholstery for the bucket seats, along with matching door panels and carpeting. Per the seller, the air conditioning was recharged one week ago and is performing well. Current issues consist of the need for a replacement headliner, inoperative cruise control, and the factory AM/FM radio is lacking reception due to a problem with the antenna.
Instrumentation includes a 145-mph speedometer and an 8,000-rpm tachometer with a 5,500-rpm redline, along with a fuel gauge and coolant temperature gauge. The six-digit mechanical odometer reads approximately 66k miles, which the seller asserts are original.
The naturally-aspirated 3.0-liter SOHC, 12-valve VG30E V6 is reported to be original to the vehicle and was rated at 160 horsepower at 5,200 rpm and and 174 pound-feet of torque at 2,800 when new. Maintenance detailed by the seller includes replacement of the distributor cap, rotor, spark plugs, wires, and battery. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a 5-speed manual transmission.
Photos of the undercarriage are available for viewing in the carousel.
The CARFAX report shows no history of accidents or damage, with the last entry dated to September of 2016. Videos are available below for viewing.

I just noticed the timing belt was replaced by Nissan on 11/6/06 at 60,187 miles. I uploaded a picture of the sticker to the vehicle photos.
@okiecarguy – Thanks for the information. I'm sure the timing belt hasn't been changed. Do you think the car would make the trip back to Tulsa, OK? ...

@87Ben – Thank you for the questions. The clutch has not been touched in at least the last 15 years. When I took it out of the garage, the pedal was low and the fluid was low, so I topped it off and the pressure returned to what I would consider "normal." I then drove the car and it feels right. The clutch engages about one-third of the way off the floor. As for the AC, it runs well since a recent recharge. ...
