2002 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 Convertible

This 2002 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 35th Anniversary is offered as a two-owner limited-edition convertible that has driven 46,664 miles since new and is powered by an LS1 5.7-liter V8 paired with a 4-speed automatic transmission. Reportedly purchased new by a GM employee, it subsequently changed hands to the current owner in May 2019 and went through a comprehensive $6,000 maintenance refresh later that same year. Finished in Black with a black soft top over an Ebony leather interior, this fourth-generation Camaro is now offered with a CARFAX report with service records, owner’s manuals, two keys with factory fobs, and with a clear Indiana title in the seller’s name.

For 1993, the Camaro’s F-body platform received a redesign made available in coupe or convertible form. This Camaro convertible from the fourth generation’s final model year comes painted Black (41) with a matching power-operated retractable top and is equipped with special branding as a 35th Anniversary Edition. Paintwork was reportedly performed in July 2017 after a hit-and-run while the vehicle was street parked, and documentation from the body shop for this work is included. Exterior finishes are said to be in excellent condition throughout, with a monochromatic glossy appearance for the trim, handles, and window surrounds.

Factory-issued wheels were replaced with 17” aluminum SS wheels and are wrapped in Goodyear Eagle tires with 2019 date codes having roughly 1,000 miles added since.

The interior is fitted with Ebony leather bucket seats and matching door panels, center console, dash, and carpeting. The upholstery and other materials are reported to be in good condition, and a plaque on the center stack identifies this model as a 35th Anniversary edition. Amenities include air conditioning, power windows, power door locks, and cruise control. In place of the factory head unit, a newer Sony stereo has been installed that features Apple CarPlay, a back-up camera, and a USB port. Replacement speakers including a trunk-mounted subwoofer in a carpeted enclosure were added as well.

Instrumentation includes a 155-mph speedometer and a 7k-rpm tachometer, accompanied by gauges for fuel level, voltage, oil pressure, and coolant temperature. The digital odometer reads 46,664 miles which is a true reading per the seller.

The all-aluminum 5.7-liter LS1 V8 was factory rated at 305 horsepower when new. A $6,000 service was performed in July 2019 involving work done with the brakes, rotors, rear shocks, struts, air conditioning, steering system, transmission, and more as outlined in detail in the included CARFAX report. Power is directed to the rear wheels via a console-shifted 4-speed automatic transmission.
