The wood is great! As far as I can see the wood is very good, the doors open and close real nice. When you shut the doors firm ( NOT SLAM ) they latch all the way and stay latched. My buddie had a 33 Chevy coupe with bad wood, so I know the difference. Hope that helps. Rod
