This 1927 Pontiac Deluxe Landau Sedan has a replacement mohair interior and wide whitewall tires and is reported to start, run, and drive thanks to recent mechanical work by the seller who has owned it for 30 years. Recent service works include the repair of the vacuum fuel pump and replacement of the carburetor for the 187ci inline-six which is backed by a 3-speed manual transmission. Finished in two-tone dark green and black with a brown interior, this 1927 Pontiac Deluxe Landau Sedan is offered with the original carburetor on a clear Michigan title in the seller’s name.
Pontiac offered a number of different body styles for the 1927 model year, and this Deluxe Landau Sedan is finished in green and black. Brightwork consists of the front and rear bumpers, the radiator shell, headlight enclosures, and trim on the rear portion of the landau top. The louvered engine cover and running boards were standard equipment, and Pontiac badge and hood ornament are present on the front end, while a stop lamp is present at the rear.
Wooden 12-spoke wheels are wrapped in whitewall tires, and the suspension is constructed of front and rear semi-elliptic leaf springs.
The interior contains two benches wrapped in reupholstered gray mohair material with matching door panels and a black dash. Amenities include crank windows and a wood-rimmed steering wheel.
Instrumentation consists of a ribbon-style speedometer flanked by gauges for oil pressure and the fuel level. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows approximately 1,000 miles, but total chassis mileage is unknown.
Updates were made for the 1927 model year to the clutch and cooling system of the 187ci Pontiac inline-six engine. The unit in this sedan has reportedly undergone maintenance including repair of the vacuum fuel pump, starter, and replaced carburetor. The car’s original carburetor is included with the sale. Power is transferred to the rear wheels through a 3-speed manual transmission.

Thanks for the kind comments, it is a special feeling to drive this down the road. You are correct, no front brakes and the rear brake pads are external. I do not have any manuals for this vehicle other than for the Stewart vacuum pump and Zenith carburetor. The original carburetor is the only spare part that I have.

Hi again, Looking at your photo's I take it that the 27 Pontiac had no front brakes ? is this correct and external rear brake shoes. How interesting.
