This 1968 Chevrolet Chevy II Nova has been with the seller for the past 12 years and is powered by a 383ci V8 stroker engine backed by an automatic transmission. Features include front bucket seats, a Hurst shifter, Edelbrock aluminum heads, power steering, MSD ignition, and a Grant GT wood steering wheel. This white Nova with a black leather and vinyl interior is available now and comes with a clear Missouri title in the seller’s name.
The body is finished in white and has all chrome and stainless trim, emblems, and handles, but is missing the right and left front fender upper grill trim. A chrome front bumper with integrated turn signals is mounted below the grille and dual headlights. A chrome bumper is located below the taillights and trunk lid. An aftermarket battery disconnect switch is mounted in the taillight panel. The windshield has a shaded top. A chrome outer rearview mirror is mounted to the driver’s door.
Chrome 5-spoke wheels are set inside of radial tires.
The front bucket seats are covered in black leather as stated by the seller. The full-width rear seat is covered in black vinyl, which also covers the door panels that house chrome exit and manual window handles. Black carpet covers the cabin floor. An MSD ignition controller is mounted just ahead of the passenger seat next to the aftermarket Hurst Quarter Stick automatic transmission shifter. The black dashboard is topped with a vinyl black dash pad. The headlight switch, wiper switch, and climate controls can be seen to the left of the steering column while the ignition switch and cigarette lighter can be seen to the right. The factory radio mounting area is currently not fitted with a radio. The seller states that a headliner is not currently installed. The non-tilt steering column is topped with a 3-spoke Grant GT steering wheel with a wood rim.
The gauges consist of a 120-mph speedometer with an integrated fuel gauge and engine warning lights. Aftermarket coolant temperature and oil pressure gauges are mounted below the dashboard to the right of the steering wheel. A 10K-rpm Autometer tachometer with a shift light is mounted in the center of the dash pad.
A small-block 383ci V8 stroker engine is equipped with Edelbrock aluminum heads, a SCAT crankshaft, and H-beam connecting rods. Output is delivered to the road by an automatic transmission. Chrome stamped steel valve covers, an aluminum intake, an open-element air cleaner, and black spark plug wires with heat shields complete the engine. A remote transmission cooler is mounted in front of an aftermarket aluminum radiator.
The independent front suspension and leaf-spring-mounted solid rear axle still retain most of the original matte black paint. The 10-bolt rear axle has a chrome differential cover. Dual exhausts can be seen exiting after the mufflers ahead of the rear axle.
